''What if I did the wrong thing? What if they get hurt?'' Bigwig stared at the ground. ''Nere can't hardly leave his run without someone's support, Patch is utterly useless in any case, and Inkberry - the doe would try and ask a homba how it likes to bed down at night! They can't be out there alone!''
''You couldn't have stopped them. Maybe saying no could have kept Patch here, but you know how Inkberry is and I'm sure Nere would have gone with her.'' She looked concerned. ''WWhat's done is done, Bigwig. It's up to them now.''
''I could have sent an Owsla member with them. Holly, maybe.''
''You couldn't have. Stop working yourself up over it - you'll lose weight and if those hlessil come about then, what good will you be in a fight?'' Bigwig looked at the doe beside him.
''I suppose you're right..''
