And, as I said, we would eventually finish it. But we got all the main characters up, and many of the minor ones. I don't know why you even made an issue of this in the first place.

We're trying to do something good for the source and for the members here, not encounter difficulties or cause problems. I really don't see why this is becoming such an issue. And it wasn't until you said something. And really, it shouldn't be. The bottom line is that, within a short time, and with more material, we WILL post bio pages for all of them.

And I don't particularly care about other bio pages...the trend here on AS has always been for members to want to see a nice bio page, with plenty of information on the character. Not a few hastily-thrown-together sentences just meeting the bare minimum to get the page up and running. As far as I am concerned, that is a haphazard, low-quality approach to character page design...be it for an official character or a fan character. The principle is the same regardless.

Official characters are NOT fan characters and don't need a complete bio, they are mostly there for information and fan content feature. And I didn't say anything that this paricular section is against the rules so pelase don't put words in my mouth :/ I only said that it would be easier if at least some of these characters had pages and that it's not impossible because, again, official characters don't need a full-lenght fancharacter bio.
If you need to bring up the rules, don't forget that "character has to be alone in the picture" and on some official pages here, whoever made the them, didn't even bother to crop the screenshots

Except, in this particular instance, the movie has a plethora of minor characters (and that is a lot of work to put this together, as you know). And, having looked at both the Disney Wikia for the movie, and the independently-done movie wikia, there are gaps. Not every minor character is covered on the official one, and even on the independent one, some screen caps are horrible (just look at the one for Madge Honey Badger...which is pretty much as good as it gets even trying to do a screen cap of her direct from the DVD, which doesn't show any real close-ups of her at all). And then, on that same wikia, the bio for Judy's uncle Terry shows a photograph of a real rabbit...not concept art or even a background rabbit character. Hardly appropriate.

So, frankly, with that list of minor characters, it will involve a lot more work than just drawing comparisons to other source character lists. And, quite honestly, when we look at the other sources you mentioned:

Bambi Source has several minor character bios with no head shot and no full body shot (nine of them by my count). I realize the site builder explained that, but those character bios should not have been posted without the completed material. That is the standard and the rule for creating character bio sheets on Animation Source...and can be verified simply by clicking the "create a new character" link on any character section on any source. The rules are the same for each source. And one overriding rule, posted as the very first one, in fact, states "Your characters have to be complete"...not "you can submit as much about your character as you can just to get it posted, but can come back to it later...even if you don't have a head or a full body shot".

Spirit Source has less official characters posted than Zootopia Source does. There wasn't as much time involvement there (no criticism of them is either stated or implied).

Watership Down Source may very well have two and a quarter pages' worth of characters, but the descriptions of several characters I looked at are woefully short and lack any substantive content. Some are barely a paragraph in length. That, in my opinion, isn't good character design.

With Ginga Source, I see no less than six content site builders. And yes, I realize that three of them (including yourself) are "universal" site builders, but most sources have one or two site builders for content, and it's usually just one person doing the character bios. I don't know how it was done on there, but there are still more site builders for content, equaling a more appropriate division of the work load.

Now, how far are we going to go with this? The point in creating the "minor characters" page was not to be lazy, nor to give up on the process. It was, actually, to provide something for the members and fans to access and enjoy. I didn't think this was going to become a problem, nor was there any rules issue in effect with doing it the way I did. And I didn't say that either I or Mighty wouldn't ever go about finishing the work. But I think it was helpful to (and considerate of) the fans to get the material out there for them to see and be able to learn about rather than for it to become what is really a very minor issue at best.

At Bambi Source, Spirit Source (partly, untill coordinator and members completely lost interest), Watership Down Source or Ginga Source (Lion King Source is being worked on since I don't have much time lately) minor characters are added, sometimes even including a fan-made bodyshot/design. And I think characters like TV presenters, Judy's childhood friends, Armadillo lady etc. have pretty decent screencaps already. The Wiki includes pics and sometimes even fullbody renders or better-looking promo pics.

If there is time, and if I can find some way of getting some decent screen caps for head or full body shots (and that hasn't been easy in every case), then I will work on creating independent sheets for each of them. But that would be a heck of a lot more than pretty much any source on the Animation Source site. Most source site builders have ignored or downplayed most minor characters. Quite possibly for any number of reasons.

Right now, I have bigger priorities here to focus on. We got all of the major characters, and several more popular (or more established) minor characters done. That is pretty good, all things considered.

I think this page works just as well, even if you truly can't tag a character. But if someone wants to tag a character that is listed here, they could post the Wiki link of that character into the description of whatever it's they're submitting. I think that's reasonable enough.

I just thought it was easier to take this approach, for the time being, than to try and hammer out very brief bios where, quite honestly, it was also difficult to get good-quality screen captures of them, even using my own copy of the DVD. Some of them it was simply nearly impossible to do a head shot of. Or, in some cases (as with Jerry Jumbeaux, Jr.), there simply isn't a full body shot. All you ever see is his upper torso, from his chest to his head.

The character bio doesn't have to be super-complete when it comes to official movie characters. Take a look at other sources. I think all official characters are worth posting, because even minor characters have their fans, so official page makes them easier to feature on images and fanart.
