Jake Razor

It seems to be implied that Nick's mom was raising Nick by herself in the movie (whereas Nick's dad played a significant part in the original plans), and a lot of people seem to think Nick's dad just up and left one day prior to the Muzzle Incident.  From what I've been able to gather, though, foxes in the real world tend to be among the most faithful mates of all mammals, which I assume the filmmakers know as well.  So I'd like to hear it from the source: is tehre any idea of what happened to him?

Byron is probably going to have to answer the question of what happened (if anything did) to Mr. Wilde. The theme park is covered in greater detail both in the bonus materials as well as the supplementary materials (stuff on the concept art, including the hardcover book and some web material). However, since these are abandoned concepts and characters, there may not have been a lot of development to them. But I will certainly pass the question on.

That covers a few things, but it doesn't quite answer the question (it also doesn't mention the predator theme park which I understand was later discarded, though the tailor shop is an interesting bit). The page on Mrs. Wilde actually gave me more clues, and between it and what's said of Nick's dad it certainly fits my own idea that Nick's dad died, probably in an accident.
