It's been said many times, but I still hear voices that Dusty is Aleu's "clone". They are completely different looking characters and now let's get this straight and and all sorted on this article.

Build:
Aleu is drawn in the same shape as Balto in Wolf Quest. She has exactly the same traits as him - fluffy chest, big paws, straight tail etc.
Dusty has a masculine and more dog-like build. She appears less fluffy, with smaller paws and curled tail.

Colour:

Aleu's fur is soft brown with light creme underbelly. Ears are draker brown.
Dusty's coat is grey with purple tint.

Eyes and eyelids:
Aleu have big, almond-shaped eyes. Blue with dark blue iris and yellow background. Eyelids are the same colour as her undercoat.
Dusty's eyes are smaller and round shaped. Darker, purple-ish blue with black iris and white background. Eyelids are the same greyish-purple colour as her body.

Ears:
Aleu's ears are again similar to Balto's. Big and darker than rest of her body.
Dusty's ears are small and roundly shaped, the same colour as her body.

Front legs markings:
Aleu's socks are the same as Balto's but higher. Wavy shaped.
Dusty's socks are lower and differently shaped. More regular, going up on the front.

Back legs markings:
Aleu's back legs markings are exactly the same as Balto's
Dusty's socks are full and regular, ending up on the hock. She also have unique inner leg markings, provided by many screenshots that it's not just an animation mistake.

I hope that all gave you a proof that Dusty is not just "recycled Aleu", but a completely different, unique design. The only similarity between her and Aleu are the same muzzle markings, but that does not define her as a "clone" in any way.
