Okay, first-things-first please don’t tell me he’s not “Balto Related” because he’s a horse, Read his bio, I think he’s strongly related to Balto.

Breed: Clydesdale (probably not purebred)

Likes: Peace and quiet, bossing Clyde around, any time he gets to show up a dog, being smarter than most dogs, Dingo (but he won’t admit it), when Dingo tells them the story of Balto, and relaxing.

Dislikes: Most dogs, when Dingo and Clyde annoy him, listening to whining/complaining, when Clyde ignores him, and most of Clyde’s antics.

Personality: A bit of a stick in the mud. He's easily annoyed and hates to be bothered with Clyde’s jokes/schemes. He’s strict and to-the-point. However, he is a hard worker, despite his need to be a perfectionist, he knows how to joke around and have fun. When he’s not working, he does enjoy goofing off with Clyde and Dingo. He’s even been known to defend Dingo against his brother’s cruelty.

History

Bud was born in an uncharted location, in Canada, he was born to a man who bred horses to help him do work around his farm. Bud grew up learning about hard work, and he realized it was the life for him. He wasn’t very happy when he was sold away from his beloved home and sent to some ranch in Alaska. At first however, the man he had been sold to, used him to haul thing to and from his uncle’s post office in town. Then one day, a plane came into town, and the pilot declared that his plane could transport mail faster than the mail dogs. That was proven untrue when the plane had an accident. But after that event, Bud’s owner became obsessed with an idea of his own. He bought a new horse, a young, inexperienced, and cocky Gyspy Vanner he called Clyde. His owners plan was that two reliable horses could surely out run a team of dim-witted dogs. It was around the time Bud met Clyde that he also met his owner’s companion: a friendly young wolfdog named Dingo. Dingo explained to Bud, that he deeply hoped they could beat the mail-team, because his abusive brother was the leader, and Dingo believed he needed a taste of his own medicine.

Months later: the mail team was again challenged. This time by Bud and Clyde. A race was set up and with Dingo riding in the big handmade sled next to their owner, the race began. The horses weren’t exactly faster than the mail team, but their size and strength allowed them to pull their sleigh effortlessly, and when needed they were able to give a burst of speed to pull ahead of the dogs. In the end, the horse-drawn sleigh won the race. The horses were also handy mail runners for the summer months, when there was no snow they were able to pull a wheeled carriage.

His name “Bud” is actually a running joke. If you go and simply Google “Clydesdales” you’ll more than likely see what his name really means.
