Personality: Aslak is a rather interesting guy; he's got a pretty weird sense of humour and a habbit of not always thinking what he says. He's foul-mouthed and sarcastic, but he is still not a mean dog and he doesn't really mean to hurt anyone, he just keeps up this role to keep his image and to hide his emotions. Deep down Aslak is a true romantic and a really big softie, but those who get to see this side of him have to be something really special, and even his family get to see that side of him not so often. Like many ordinary finnish guys, Aslak does not talk about his feelings and especially never admits if he's wrong about something or made a mistake. He is extremely stubborn, and usually does things before thinking about it more carefully and this usually gets him into a lot of trouble.

History: Aslak was born in a large litter, with 6 other siblings in Finland's Lapland, in the town of Ivalo to be precise.He spent his early puppyhood on a farm, happily playing with his brothers and sisters, but after reaching the age of 8 weeks his training to become a reindeer herder started. Aslak was a very fast learner, and found reindeer herding his true passion, enjoying it more than anything else. Finally, after turning 6 months he was sold as a shepherd to a man who raised reindeer and that's where he spent the next 2 years of his life. One time, when he was on duty, a reindeer hit Aslak with it's antlers by accident and he received a scar on his right muzzle. Some time after that, his master decided to retire and move to Alaska where he wished to make a whole new start. Aslak, however, was not pleased at all by his master's decision. He didn't want to leave his homeland and the idea that he'd have to start all over, did not seem too tempting at all. So when they arrived to Nome, Alaska where they settled down, other dogs often squinted at him, mainly because of his scandinavian accent and because there weren't many of his breed in Alaska. But finally, Aslak came across the most beautiful creature he'd ever laid his eyes on; The famous wolfdog Balto's daughter, Saba. He fell over heels in love with her, but unfortunately he wasn't the only male who had had his eyes set on Saba. Aslak approached her very carefully, unlike others who just liked showing off, and this impressed Saba so the two of them became good friends. All tough he felt something a lot more stronger than friendship towards her, he simply buried his feelings, thinking she'd neve feel the same way for him.
