Crusher - If you haven't caught on, it is still Beverly.

Body.

Height - Way above average - Chevy is one of the largest dogs ever produced by his breeder.

Weight - Slim, but very muscular.

Drawn - Similar to how he is rendered.

Rendered - Balto / Steele. Your best bet is using a still of Steele and finding a screenshot of Balto's head that will correspond with the position of Steele's body. Chevy has a long neck and limbs. His head is far sleeker than Balto's, his eyes are a bit more pointed, and his ears are more pointed as well.

Personality - Chevy is, in general, an alright guy. He does, however, have an explosive temper and does not let go of things very easily. He can be extremely bitter, harsh, and cynical. Despite being extraordinarily self confident, Chevy is also quite insecure. Can quite honestly be a bit ridiculous. He is also extremely determined to come through on top when he's given any task or challenge. When he isn't flying off the handle he can be quite nice. He is nicest to the ones closest to him, notably his daughter Vendetta whom he spoiled considerably.

Likes - Feeling as though he's won something, being right, his family, Beverly, Vendetta, making fun of others, being in charge, racing, being allowed to race, beating others.

Neutral Towards - Essentially everything until he has a negative response to it.

Dislikes - Chase, losing, hearing about Chase's seemingly never-ending success, Rusty being sarcastic, Beverly being sarcastic, Vendetta not getting what he thinks she deserves.

Biography.

Chevy was born to two champion sleddogs to a very reputable breeder. When he was born, he and his siblings were the only pups around for quite that time but that changed when his uncle's mate gave birth, bringing forth three dark colored puppies. With them being the pups of Milton, one of the most sensational sleddogs around, they quickly got the attention of the breeder. Chevy resented this immensely and from the moment they were born he began snubbing his younger cousins. He especially grew to loathe one in particular - a wiry pup named Chase who seemed to be born with a chip on his shoulder. Chase was much smaller than Chevy, this was something Chevy took pride in - one stride of his was equal to at least three of his smaller cousin's, but Chase was inexplicably fast.

With their fathers being competitive with each other, Chevy first realized when the two both wagered that their son would be faster than the other. On their first encounter, Chevy had gone in feeling pretty confident in himself - Chase could scarcely reach his shoulder. However, as soon as he looked down to his young opponent, the look in Chase's eyes chilled him. As their fathers egged them on, Chevy became extremely frustrated as his young cousin surpassed him and ultimately won. From that moment on, Chevy knew that he could not afford to lose like that again. His time to prove that he was better was rapidly ending though - every time their breeder had a large enough group of young dogs he wanted to sell off he put on a grand show of the skills his dogs had. One of these events, Chevy was told, was a long dash on one of the longer sides of the property. It would be a straightforward race - starting with the bang of a flare gun and ending with whoever won.

Chevy knew he had to win. He was the oldest young dog that would be in the race, and there was no way he'd be losing to any of the whelps below him, including his cousin. He began putting himself through seemingly never-ending training - often going to the edges of his breeder's property and just running for as long as he could. For Chevy, he knew endurance would be a stronger suit than just relying on speed. He ran as much as he could, it didn't matter how fast he went it more matter how far he went. He could feel himself getting a bit faster though, but each time he caught a fleeting glimpse of Chase loping off somewhere he felt his insecurity grow. Each time this happened, Chevy felt his frustration grow and he channeled it into his self-imposed training.

On the day of the event, Chevy found himself standing right next to his cousin for the first time in months. To his horror, Chase's wiry frame had become more angular and strong, his eyes sharper, and his legs longer. In fact, Chevy could nearly look him dead in the eyes, which he avoided at all costs. As Chase turned to him with a begrudging look, Chevy turned away and could only hear a brief and very dry ''good luck''. That, of course, hit a raw nerve and Chevy found himself berating the younger dog, saying that Chase would be the one needing luck as Chevy didn't need any of his superstitious utterances.

As the flare gun shot off, Chevy didn't stick around as Chase scoffed. Instead, he hit the ground running - determined to leave his cousin in the dust. This only worked for a few moments before Chase had caught up to him - his smooth strides sending him loping next to Chevy. As he eventually broke away from Chevy, the wry look he sent over his shoulder was rage-inducing and Chevy pushed himself to run faster than he had before and within moments he was speeding next to Chase. Instead of getting any acknowledgement, Chevy realized that the black husky only had his eyes trained ahead as he slowly began to gain the upperhand once more. Scrambling, Chevy looked around for anything that would help his odds until his eyes trained on an upcoming woodpile that was all odds and ends of thick wooden slabs from around the property. Chevy couldn't help but note that the two would be upon it soon enough - and that it was on Chase's side of the track. As Chevy realized that Chase was speeding up again, he forced himself to run even faster and lunged at the younger husky. What Chevy wasn't counting on was the fact that Chase would advance so quickly that his efforts of taking him out would be null and that Chevy himself would be sent scrambling, desperately trying to stop himself, as he flopped around the ground and eventually crashed into the woodpile, but as fate would have it - that is exactly what happened. The first thing Chevy realized after he hit the wood pile was the mind numbing pain that erupted from his back left leg. The second thing he noticed was the mind-numbing rage that erupted from the sight of his young cousin leading the way to the finish line with the remaining dogs trailing behind. In any event, Chevy blacked out after Chase left his line of vision.

In the months that followed, Chevy was forced to stay inside and stay virtually immobile as he'd ended up breaking his hind leg. Throughout this time he just stewed in his anger, blaming Chase for his misfortune and hoping that the black husky would burn out at a record pace. After the splints were removed, Chevy's shots of becoming a sleddog were shot as he was left with a permanent limp. Instead of trying to work and become better, Chevy left himself in a self-induced exile. He barely left his kennel, and when he did it was purely to sneer at the younger dogs who were so excited to be running. Many dogs didn't take a shine to Chevy, one of them being a young female named Beverly. She always seemed to have a counter-argument to Chevy's angry laments and this frustrated Chevy so he made a note to avoid her.

This was until his breeder decided to make Chevy a breeding dog, he'd exhausted all efforts of finding a willing musher but knew Chevy had good genes in him, and paired Chevy with the spirited young female. For quite some time, Chevy sat brooding and complaining about this. He did not like Beverly, she was too smart, too quick witted, and quite honestly she made him feel rather stupid as she was able to make light of his problems. As the two were forced to spend time together, Chevy was able to get past these early thoughts as he found that he actually quite liked Beverly, in fact he may have even loved her. When he confessed this too her, she meekly replied that ''it was about time that he realized that'' and the two were a sold pair from that point on.

However, when the two added three pups to their family Chevy found himself being haunted by his past. He was taken back to his puppy days and how quickly the spotlight had been taken off him and his siblings thanks to the birth of Chase and his siblings. From that moment on, Chevy had it set in his head that his pups would go on to be the best racers the world had ever seen and nobody could convince him otherwise, not even Beverly. His pups though, were far less compliant - Rusty opposed any nothing his father had with sarcasm and Audrey was disinterest. However, his oldest daughter, Veruca, was extremely determined to make her dad proud - and to get redemption for him. As Chevy filled all of his pups' heads up with tall tales about Chase mixed in with faint truths, Veruca was the only one to take notice.

As she grew, Chevy found a kindred spirit in his daughter and saw the racer he wished he could have been. She had the endurance he had and the speed he wished he could have stolen from Chase. The only thing she was missing was the weird look in Chase's eyes, but that was far from a complaint. When it came time for Veruca to be adopted off, Chevy watched tentatively from the sidelines as his daughter overtook all the competition and the bidding war began. Just before she had to leave, she promised she'd make him proud and that she'd get Chase for him.

Of course, Chevy was proud. Every time his little girl came back with stories of her races, he encouraged her. Every time his little girl came back with stories about Chase and how Veruca couldn't find a way to beat him, Chevy became enraged. By now, he had figured Chase had become too old to race, not that he was all that old. Chevy had been detailing the careers of his father and Chase's father and found them burning out rather early - Chase's father had even been snuffed out by Chase himself. How the black husky remained so prominent baffled him. It annoyed Beverly for other reasons entirely though - she was the one who had to listen to all of Chevy's ramblings. Despite all this, Chevy could only encourage his daughter.

Not long after, she returned with a collar studded with bits of gold. When Veruca asked him to guess who she'd gotten it from, Chevy finally felt a calm wash over him - he knew she'd beaten him and he had no reason to ask how.

Nowadays, Chevy is still as argumentative, petty, grouchy and irritable as he's always been. He's got less to complain about though, but that doesn't stop him from getting sharp responses from Beverly who still grows tired listening to his current gripes.

Other -
- What unnerved Chevy so much about Chase was his stare, which has been mentioned by other characters of mine. Essentially, Chase's eyes were lit by his determination, confidence, ambition, stubbornness, anger, really anything and it just shone through his eyes.

- Definitely raised his kids to be competitive jerks - only Veruca picked up on this skill. Audrey, despite having the perfect build for a sled-dog was adopted by a different breeder. Rusty, having a very scrawny build, did end up on a sled team - but he delievered mail. Needless to say, Veruca is Chevy's favorite.
- Walks with a pronounced limp.
- Has not seen Chase since the final race between them. If he were to see Chase, he'd probably try to fight him.
- Chevy dies of old age ; quite a bit before Beverly.
- Voice - Chevy Chase

Relation to Balto - Cousin to the grandfather of Jenna, father of one of Steele's inspirations, basically even with all this separation he is still more related than some of the gems on here.
