history: one day Cinder's mother (a wolf) walked into Nome. she was very beautiful and was drawn to Steele. they both fell in love and had pups who were immediately sold to top mushers for training and to some kids as pets. however, two of the pups, Cinder and Thunder didn't get adopted. Steele was confused until he saw his mate crying and asked why. after receiving the answer 'no human will ever want them' he asked her how she knew this and she said she was a wolf. after losing his pride in this way, Steele threated to kill them. Cinder's mother grabbed her and with Thunder close behind, ran from the town. after losing Thunder, she tossed Cinder in a bush. after her mother didn't come back Cinder began to think that she had been abandoned
