Personality: Delgado is a genuine and rather helpful type of character; he is always there for those who need him most. He can also be very protective over what is his, and will fight for the lives of his loved ones. Willing to give his own life, Del is considered very noble and one of the bravest among any leader.

He’s a natural born leader, and is extremely responsible. As well as being a great trustworthy character, he is also very good at solving problems and disputes within the pack. He respects others, but knows he has to be strict with his pack members. Delgado is good at laying down rules, but isn’t afraid to punish people if they do something wrong.

Although he often doesn’t show it, he’s a very affectionate character as well. Delgado loves to spend time with his family, and will do anything in order to ensure their safety. He does his best not to be controlling, but he could never forgive himself if any of his sons got into any trouble or danger.

He is also a very strong and bold male, willing to fight for what rightfully belongs to him. As any good leader should be, he is willing to stand up for his pack and those around him. Whenever challenged, Del isn’t one to back down, and never does. The pack all admire him for this, because they know they are in the hands of a great leader; there is no one that they’d be safer with.

Bad personality traits: He can be very protective, and to protect his family, he is willing to ban anything he wishes that could put them in danger; for instance, magic. Since it killed his family, he doesn’t want to see it thrive in his pack, whether a relative of his best friend possesses powers or not. Therefore, he does punish people a lot, and sometimes he can get rather argumentative if people disagree, and if anyone was ever to break these laws, he’d be up any time for a fight. To protect others, he can be very controlling, so that is probably one of his only personality traits that could be somewhat a disadvantage.

Likes: Looking after his pack, hunting, his sons, training his sons to be great leaders and teaching them the important life skills that they’ll need, Diana, keeping territory, solving problems without too much hassle, being free, alone time, living life to the fullest, watching his sons grow up, sunsets, being victorious, knowing that everyone is ok, being respected and watching his pack grow and thrive since just seeing them happy makes him know it’s all worthwhile.

Dislikes: Tony, Tony’s dangerous men, when Sam disobeys him, when Patrick screws up, others trying to annoy him deliberately, when Tony tries to overthrow his pack, seeing Diana upset or worried, seeing his pack in danger or something terrible happening to any of the members, thunderstorms, magic.

Friends: Mostly all of his pack are good friends with him since they put their one hundred-percent trust in him, and a few other of the leaders of packs including Jesse (since he is Aleu’s mate) and Jonathan.

History: Delgado was born as the son of Piers and Lily, after Piers fell in love with a lost and rogue lurcher (greyhound x whippet), who was kicked out of her home. Piers and the female lurcher Lily finally settled down, and gave birth to a litter of pups. They were happy parents, but as the cold swept in, only Delgado was strong enough to survive.

As a young puppy, Del loved to explore the wilderness and follow his father on many hunting trips. He loved to learn how to hunt, and how to run a pack. He was often the one who loved to boss another puppy around in the pack, and whenever he was offered the job of helping his busy father, he agreed to happily.

Delgado also took a keen interest in running, and he would sprint around whenever he could. Often, he and the other pups within the pack would have their own little races, and Dez was always the one winning. Lily noticed this, and new it was down to her that he was such a fast runner. Delgado was always never too far away from his parents, and he often asked what happened to his siblings, and therefore wanted to stay alive and knew how important he was to his parents. He never left the territory.

At this time, Aniu’s son, Balto was born. Delgado and Balto met and became friends, and they were almost inseparable. Balto spent most of his time with Delgado, and evens stayed in the pack sometimes. However, one day, Balto and Aniu just disappeared without a trace. Delgado was surprised and distraught, and longed to see Balto again.

However, when he became a teenager and met a rogue female wolf who had fled from her pack, he fell instantly in love with her after he comforted her emotional state. Delgado kept the female wolf, who he later learnt was called Diana, warm and safe, and wanted her to join his father’s pack.

Piers, however, was adamant that Delgado could not have his wish, since Piers never expected rogues as it was his way of life. Enraged and feeling dismissed, Del and his father erupted into an argument. Delgado turned his back on his father, and left.

After he did, a few hours later, he got word that his father’s territory had been invaded, and sorcery was being used to kill off his family. He and Diana raced to find the pack’s territory ransacked and littered with the wounded and dying bodies of his beloved pack members that he’d grew up with. Delgado realised the only time he’d been careless was the time his whole lived was turned upside down; he realised why his father had been so protective and careful.

On a nearby tree where his father’s almost lifeless body lay, he found the mark of sorcery on a tree.

‘Nava,’ Delgado said, ‘It must have been a relation to Nava.’

‘How could someone possess such powers?’ Diana asked, ‘Only Nava and Aniu have them, and they were your father’s allies.’

‘Rogues,’ Delgado said at last, ‘They have them. Relations of Aniu are known as the rogues. She inherited her powers from a pair of wolves; she cannot be the only one.’

The two lovers left the territory, and Delgado vowed to never make the same mistake happen again, to anybody.

He and Diana decided that they would be mates, and they moved through the forest together searching for a suitable territory to start a pack.

As Del became a young adult, they finally stumbled and came to rest at a beautiful waterfall, and Diana loved the atmosphere. It was summer, and the fireflies lit up the night sky, everything was beautiful. This was the night that Del’s beautiful mate announced that she was pregnant, and Delgado would soon be a father.

Delgado was delighted, and he immediately said that this place would be there new territory, and they would call their pack, “Warrior Falls.”

‘I love it,’ Diana said, as the two wolves settled down for the night.

The next day, the two wolves found the caves and the territory. They realised it was once inhabited, but Delgado ensured that it had been deserted again. However, when they entered the third largest cave, they found a whole group of wolves that lived there, and Delgado was confronted by Louis.

‘Who the hell are you!?’ Louis stated, coming out to greet the wolves.

‘My name is Delgado, and I was the prince of the Snowshoe Pack,’  Delgado said, and Louis looked back at the members of the pack, ‘Where’s your leader?’

‘We haven’t had a leader for months, maybe years,’ another wolf said, his name was Simon, ‘It’s just us, The Bachelors.’

‘The Bachelors?’ Diana repeated, and then couldn’t help giggling.

‘Yes, the Bachelors,’ Louis repeated.

‘I think I can lead this pack,’ Delgado said.

‘Pfft, you must be crazy,’ another wolf said, his name was Phillip and he’d been around for a long time. He was known across the valley as the best physician, and Dogatto immediately recognised him, ‘This place will never be a pack again, everyone deserted and forgot about it ever since The Great War.’

Delgado had heard of the Great War before, his father had been around when it happened. It was when the rogues and some packs joined forces and attempted to take over the valley, his father’s, Nava’s and Jonathan’s packs had been the only survivors. Tony, of course, was the son of the bad leader who’s territory was the Clan Of The Dark, his name was Jedidiah.

‘Please, let me try, my mate Diana and I are expecting pups,’ Delgado protested, ‘Princes and princesses.’

‘Look, I’ll give you something, my friend, you are determined,’ Phillip continued, ‘I respect that. If you want to, you’ve got a shot. Take it.’

Delgado did just that, and soon the pack was thriving. Diana gave birth to Danny, who was the eldest, first. Many safe native wolves watched the ceremony of the new prince, and some later joined the pack.

By the time Sam was born, the pack was made up of almost twenty members. Since it was such a big territory, there was always plenty room for even more. Diana was incredibly happy, as the pack was thriving so well.

However, something terrible happened. The young prince was almost robbed of his life due to rogue magic, and Delgado felt distraught and angry. Tony also took two of Dogatto’s sons, Eddie and Danny.

 As a young and terrified puppy ran into the territory, Delgado declared that magic was hear by banned from the pack under law. If anybody was is caught practising sorcery, they would be punished on penalty of death.

The whole pack could see how much the incident had affected Delgado, ‘It destroyed my family, it almost destroyed my son. I will not allow it to do any more damage to anybody on my grounds.’

When Phillip took in the puppy, who later they found out was called Patrick, and Delgado’s son, Sam, befriended the exiled male, Delgado became more worried. Patrick wasn’t like any other pup, and he was always finding himself in danger or in trouble, and he and Sam were always in near death situations.

Delgado, at one point, banned Sam from spending any time with the Australian wolf pup. Sam, however, was the first son to disobey his father. Delgado was extremely surprised, but continued to punish Sam by keeping him cooped up inside. Diana didn’t really agree with Delgado’s extremes, but she understood his feelings. There was something he didn’t like about Aussie, no matter how much the court physician, Phillip, argued that he was a good kid, Delgado wouldn’t listen.

Sam eventually came rebellious, but he had learnt to respect and adore his father by the time he was a teen. Patrick and Sam became best friends, and Sam was learning the ways of a king, and also was aware of how dangerous sorcery and magic was. Little did he know that Patrick possessed such powers, and the natural luck with fire and such that he was having in battles was all down to Patrick.

When Patrick saved Sam’s life, after a wolf tried to execute Sam, Delgado declared Patrick Sam’s servant, and Delgado finally trusted the outcast wolf. The court physician, Phillip, was pleased at Delgado’s decision.

Balto reappeared, and helped Delgado out with the kids, and Balto became very fond of Sam.

When Danny and Eddie returned, Delgado at first lied to Sam, saying that he didn’t know them. However, Delgado said to Graeme that they were the lost princes, and Graeme went around with his big mouth, spreading the news. The two princes confronted the wolf-dog leader, and it was a warm reunion.

Delgado continues to protect his children and pack, and has been involved in many battles over the years. He is the only wolf-dog to still be leading a pack. He has defeated Tony multiple times, and Diana is proud of her mate. He is not only a strong leader, but a beloved one, who is respected by all who meet him. Even better, he isn’t even a full wolf at that.
