Personality: The name Felicie means “happy,” and that’s a perfect name for her. Felicie is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves to smile and laugh, and make others do the same. Sometimes she can get a bit too happy, which annoys others, but most dogs appreciate her sunny outlook on life. She’s a lot of fun to be around and is always willing to explore and try something new. She can be a bit quiet when you first meet her, but after a while it’ll seem like you’ve known her for years. However, she does have a vicious side, but it only comes out when you really push her to her limits. She is very determined and a hard worker. She cares too much about what others think of her.
Likes: Just about everything. Running, hanging out with friends, dogsledding, sunsets, flowers, nature, exploring
Dislikes: Mean people, bullies, seeing others hurt/upset
History: Felicie was the fourth child of Saba and Jean-Claude. From a young age, she showed signs of being a strong sled dog like her father. At eight weeks old, she was bought by a man and his teenage son who trained sled dogs, and there were many other sled dogs that lived with them. At that time, Felicie was the youngest and by far the least experienced out of all the dogs, and didn’t fit right in. She tried to make friends with the older dogs, but they were all at least a year old and didn’t want to associate with a little puppy. Moreover, they found her chipper personality to be quite nauseating after a while. Felicie was saddened about the fact that she had no friends, and although she made friends outside of the house and kept in touch with her siblings, she still felt lonely whenever she walked into her house.
As Felicie got older, she became more serious, although she never lost her bubbly personality. She figured that instead of wallowing over the fact that the other dogs didn’t like her, she could prove herself to them and show them what she was made of. So, she trained on the beach every day with her father as well as her brother Remi who also wanted to be a sled dog. But in order to get the best training, she realized, Felicie would have to go to her grandfather Balto. Balto knew everything about dogsledding, as he was one of the greatest and most legendary sled dogs there was. Balto not only taught Felicie how to strengthen her body, but also her mind, so that she could develop the type of mindset needed to be a sled dog. Once she did that, her dogsledding career turned on its head and she was accepted onto a successful supply-carrying team. She finally earned the other dogs’ respect, but realized she didn’t really need it all along.
A little while later, Felicie saw some of her teammates surrounding another dog, seemingly antagonizing him. Upon further investigation, she realized they were trying to provoke a fight with him. Seeing how helpless the other dog looked, she jumped in and stood up for him. She learned that his name was Aslak, and that he had reently moved from Finland, and his English was rather poor, which was what was causing the other dogs to make fun of him. Felicie felt for him and promised she would be his friend and teach him some English. They became great friends, and over time, she started to develop a crush on him, but was afraid to admit it because she didn't want to be ostracized by her team. However, on one fateful day, the house Felicie and her teammates were in caught fire, and the whole team was trapped inside. Felicie was sure she was going to die, until Aslak jumped in and saved the day just in time. However, during his mission to save the team, a piece of the ceiling fell on him and knocked him unconscious. Because of this as well as his excessive inhalation of smoke, Aslak fell into a coma. Felicie was devastated and regretted not telling him about her feelings sooner. However, she stayed by his side hoping he would wake up. Four days later, Aslak thankfully woke up, and Felicie admitted that she liked him, and was elated to find out he felt the same way. Plus, Aslak had earned the respect of the other dogs on the team, and Felicie couldn't be happier.
