Bio:

As one of three pups, Icecap was always the leader, His sister and brother trusted him implicitly, he took care of them, lead them. But, there was a large rivalry between him and Steele. Their father, Desoto always favored Icecap. Desoto and his owner mentored Icecap in dogsledding since he was old enough to do so. This naturally made Steele loath his brother, and made him hungry for attention, and “glory.” When Icecap was fully trained, he was put on a dogsled team as one of the swing dogs. After Icecap, went Athena, sold to the owner of another racing team. Steele was the last to go.

As a teen, Icecap blossomed in the sport and was soon switched into lead position where he would stay for years to come. Because of his courageous victories,  Icecap is one of the most respected athletes in nome. He also later forms a mutually respectful friendship with Balto.

As his team started grown week, for he was a very youthful addition, new dogs were bought at auction, and introduced into the team. Icecap immediately clashed with the young, ambitious Chase. Chase was swing dog one, and mocked Icecap by being constantly out of line (verbally, not literally). Though Chase wasn’t particularly fond of Icecap’s leadership, his team was quite persistent, and won many races.
