Personality: Very protective, he won't let any dog be mean or unkind to his friends and sisters, but, he is easily annoyed sometimes. He generally has good intentions, but it may not seem like that most of the time. He is extemely loyal to his friends and teammates, and would fight to the death for them. Stubborn as a mule, it takes a lot to sway him to the opposite side, and even then he will try to stay to his beliefs. He can have charisma, but it doesn't show often anymore, as he thinks he has all he needs. He can genuinely hate someone, most times, for a reason. He tries to act like a hero, which can end up in him looking like a fool. Jake does, however, like attention, and can sometimes want te spotlight for himself.

Backstory/History: He was born in the woods as the oldest of his litter, with his parents caring for him. Until, one day, about 4 weeks after they were born, while out hunting, their parents were killed by hunters. For a few days, they were without food. Some died of starvation, others hypothermia, leaving only him and his younger sister, Marin alive. They were both close to death when they were found by the hunters, and taken in. Feeling that they could get money off of the two pups, hardly knowing they were part wolf, as they looked more dog. Soon enough, when they were 8 weeks old, they were put in a box in town to be sold. He was sold to a person who just wanted a companion, while his sister was left at the box. The person, nicknamed Mrs. Annie, took care of him, and he found her quite pleasant for a year, until soon, it all changed. She had to go to a nursing home, and he couldn't come along. He was given to her daughter, who didn't really want him, so she planned on selling him.

Soon, because of his build mainly, he was chosen by a musher named Wade Dawson. He also had another dog with him, a male named Rondo, who turned out to be Balto's son. Of course, he had only heard of Balto a few times, and hadn't thought much of it. At first glance, Rondo seemed nice, until he opened his mouth. Then, Jake grew a great dislike for the male, finding his story of how he became lead-dog preposterous, but still listened anyways. In training, he met the others, and became good friends with Sydney, who seemed nice enough. After one of their practices, they were given a little break, and he went to town to see a race commence. The first team across the line was an all female team, and one of the females looked strangely familiar. He went down there and sure enough, it was his sister! She was adopted by the woman who also used to own him, which seemed quite strange. He met all her teammates, whom he became friends with.

When he finally raced in Rondo's team, he found out that he was a team dog, next to Vilkas, whom he didn't really get a chance to know. Soon enough, the race was done, and they finished in first. When Rondo was swarmed by fans, he admittedly felt a little jealous at all the attention he was getting. Eventually, he began to try and spend more time with his sister's team, but his musher didn't allow it. He could see how blunt Rondo acted about telling others how he felt about them, and tried to keep them away from Rondo. But recently, he's been slacking a bit, and he knows that soon, Rondo will find out.

Relation To Balto: Runs on a sled-team with Balto and Jenna's son, Rondo; Is friends with Steele's daughters (Arena and Keira).
