Personality: Kegan lives up to its name, it has always shown inside that "fire" that gives it its name. Kegan is persistent and optimistic, never give up and always see the bright side of things. He is strong and hardworking, enjoys being a sled dog but not for fame but because he loves to feel useful and please their owners.

History:
Kegan was just a pup more from the couple number one of kennel dogs. As a result, his parents had so many puppies to protect and care, they could never devote to Jenna and her brother Kegan the attention that both needed and wanted.
Jenna was older than Kegan and feeling abandoned by their parents, they both became very close.
Jenna was quickly adopted by a little girl named Rosie, but what would happen to Kegan? Well, actually it was not long until the little puppy found a home.
Kegan was placed on the team of sled dogs but only as a substitute.
Kegan was the "rookie" team for some time but never lost hope of becoming a "champion sled". Although Steele always told him was worthless and did not have the guts to be a running dog. He and all his "Entourage" spent the day taunting and harassing Kegan. He wanted revenge but he knew if he fight in the team would only get him kick out of it.

But not everyone was mean to him, there was a girl who looked from afar and greeted him by name, Kegan not know who she was but it seemed very nice. Whoever it was, he knew he could never impress a girl being a substitute team.
Finally arrived a chance to Kegan. There was a diphtheria epidemic in the city of Nome and because of that there was a race to pick the fastest dogs. Kegan succeeded! He was among one of the fastest dogs and given an opportunity sleigh team.

Sure Steele mocked him and tried to make life miserable, but Kegan did not mind, after all Kegan was not the only one bothered Steele, was also one wolfdog named Balto, to him was worse because Steele did out of the sled team.
Anyway, part of the team Kegan all was well. They trained for the big day, every practice was that mysterious girl. She stood away from him and looked at all the training.
"Looks like you have an admirer Key" Jenna told
"You could say that sister" Kegan said jokingly, because did not believe possible
At the end of that training he decided he would try to approach her.
"Hi!" - He told her - "'I´m Kegan"
"yes I know, you are the brother of Jenna and recently  you joined the sled team..."
"But how? ..."
"Oh, sorry it's just that I spend a lot of time here. My brother is on the sled team, I am Striker" said she
"Nice to meet you but wait, who is your brother?"
"Well ..."
"Striker! its time to go sister, but what? ... What are you doing with this louse?"  Steele said

Kegan froze "Steele's sister? Now I'm lost," he thought.
Time passed and Kegan kept seeing Striker, but literally seeing it, he did not believe that anything between them would be possible. Although he really wished it could be.

At the end (with the help of Balto) the team returned to medicine and all were welcomed as heroes. Jenna welcomed him to his brother, but then she had to go for Balto.
Kegan arrived very proud and happy, he felt renewed, motivated with the courage to .. give it another try.
Kegan approached Striker, still thinking about what he had to say:
"Hi," they both said at the same time
"So, I heard that your brother came to town a few days ago, should cheer you that he is well"
"Of course I don´t pride myself what he did but still my brother. Wish he were more like a hero ... just like you ..."
"You think I'm a hero? ... Well, make a single thing in my life does not make me a hero"
"What are you talking about? All that time being mistreated by the sled team, enduring taunts and insults. And in the end, the hero of the team turned out to be you ..."
"I'm not feeling like a hero ..."
"You will ..."

Both came to their first, kiss...
