Now, I know there are probably hundreds of drawings featuring Balto's family - including lots of especially good ones.

So, the whole Balto family portrait idea is not a very original one, true. But that's where the challenge I'm offering you comes in: can you make a Balto family portrait that really stands out? Test your originality and creativity!

What Do You Have To Do? Two Steps!

Step 1. Firstly, just draw a picture of Balto, Jenna and their children (all the pups), but with an original flare! Anything. Any idea original enough to wow viewers. It just has to be different from a usual family picture, even if it's completely crazy.

Step 1 Notes and Terms:

- Your entry must feature official characters only (not your own characters), and must feature Balto, Jenna and their pups. You can add Aniu, Boris, Muk and Luk, as they are, too, part of Balto's family, whether blood or surrogate relations. 

- Please do not add characters such as Niju, as Aleu's mate, since couples of this example are not official

- Balto and Jenna's children can be shown either grown up or as pups

- The character designs should be as they appear in the Balto films; they cannot be your own design versions

- Nothing violent or unsuitable for children, please (the more family friendly the better, in fact)

- Your entry must be your own art. Best put your signature on it as proof.

- To show that your picture is for '' Family Portrait | Originality Test'' contest, please draw a fairly obvious object (anything, so long as it's not a character - maybe a squeaky toy perhaps? The more creative the better) and this Object must be white and gold. The Object, whatever it is, will most likely give added interest to your picture. 

Step 2. Secondly, submit your picture! You can either . . . 

- send it onto your art gallery, and then link it here

- send it to me by PM

- send it straight onto this contest

- If you're new to the way the Sources work and don't know how to do either of the above three, just ask and I'll do my best to help you out

Winners and Judging

- There will be three winners

- I will judge, with some help from chosen assistants, and put the three winners into their own categories (which are secret for now :D)

 - There will be art prizes for the winners, drawn by myself (and by anybody else who may wish to help make prizes)

This is a great contest idea! I'll see what I can come up with. Question: Does the drawing need to have a background? I'm not that good at them, so I tend to leave them out.
