Good traits: Kirino is very obedient and is a great listener. Though he doesn't talk much, he's highly intelligent and willing to please. Surprisingly very gentle with children and pups, despite being a fighting dog for so long.
Bad traits: Kirino startles easily and might accidentally snap if someone startles him. He's bored easily and rather disinterested in things. It's hard to get a rise out of him or for him to show very much emotion. Almost too passive. Holds grudges.
How they express happiness: A simple smile or tail wag about does it. He doesn't show too much emotion.
How they express anger: Kirino immediately turns to violence when angered, unfortunately. He will bite or snap or growl depending on how angry he is.

Backstory
Born in a litter of six to Balto and Jenna. Kirino's birthname was Saba. He was the runt of the litter and was quite often mistaken for a female. Kirino didn't really care, though. He didn't see it as a big deal. Since he was small for his size, he was also picked on a lot. Though Kirino was small, he was very hardy. He was able to hold his own, and thus, the others stopped picking on him. Kirino was a daddy's boy, and bonded with his father right off the bat. He always got sad whenever he had to return back to his boat. Kirino was aloof from his siblings, and definitely favored his parents, and his toys; Uncle Boris, Muk, and Luk. Soon, the puppies were given away. A young boy came with his parents and adopted Kirino.

Kirino was a spoiled pup, and was given lots of love from his boy. Surprisingly for a hybrid, Kirino was very well-behaved, so the boy's parents didn't mind at all. As Kirino grew, the boy was sure that he got to visit his family. Kirino became more attached to his family as he got older; a drastic change from when he was a pup. It was then that the fun had to end.

While Kirino's owners let him outside, he went on his usual walk alone. As he headed down an alleyway, Kirino was snatched by two shady-looking men. They took Kirino to an old building in the woods in the outskirts of Nome. Kirino was then sold to the people there. He was going to be used as a fighting dog.

As Kirino was never ready to fight, it took him awhile to learn. He was used as a bait dog at first, then he started fighting back. Kirino was placed in the ring to fight other dogs. Surprisingly, Kirino tended to the fights well, and was quite ferocious. Many times he had fought other dogs to the death, and he had been bet on a lot. Kirino hated fighting though; he just did it because he had to. Before he could've been used as a breeding dog, someone took him out of a match and bought him.

The person who bought him turned out to not be interested at all in dog fighting, and only wanted a hardy dog to pull lumber for him. As he was new to Nome and was passing through the woods, he found the old building. Being fairly wealthy, he took the only dog that didn't have a crazy look in its eyes. The fighters didn't mind though, as they were given a good amount of money. Kirino was very compliant, and he trusts his new owner. It took both of them a little while to get used to, as Kirino would snap at first, but he eventually got better. Kirino was wary around other dogs, and was bad around them for awhile. But he was still gentle to his parents, family, and other dogs he knew. Kirino currently pulls lumber for his owner.
