Related to Balto: Friends with Balto and his friends, and former member of Aleu's pack.

Personality: She is very friendly, and she likes to have fun with her friends. But sometimes she can become a bit temperamental and stubborn in some cases.

Dislikes: Humans. (despite Rosie, she is an exception) Makita heard about the time Aleu almost got killed by a hunter who was looking for food and fur. Even though Balto and the others try to convince her that she will not be harmed, she still doesn't believe them. So when she goes into Nome she tends to act aggressive out of fear.

Likes: Racing with Balto, having fun with her friends and leading.

Lives: In Nome. She doesn't have a certain place in Nome where she lives, she just wanders around town (humans don't like her due to her wild-like behavior) when she isn't hanging around with her friends.

Sleeps: The boiler room or under Balto's boat.

History: Makita originated from Aleu's wolf pack. (she is not related to Aleu) She used to be a beta wolf, but quickly fell into the omega role when she stepped out of line. As a result she decided to become a lone wolf. After days of travel, she came across Nome. She quickly became friends with Balto after she had run into the town and stirred up trouble with the locals. Makita was hesitant to stay in Nome, she wanted to continue on to start her own pack.  Balto convinced her that she doesn't need a pack to be happy, Makita agreed to that. From then on she has stayed in Nome.
