Relation to Balto: Balto raised her

Lusa was left inside the box that Balto's pups had been adopted in. Balto had walked by one night and saw Lusa laying inside. He took her back to his boat where he fed her and took care of her. She grew to think of him as her father and loved him very much. When she turned a year old, she started exploring the forest. She started sleeping there at night and would explore around during the day. Lusa wants to start a pack of dogs and wolfdogs in honor of Balto. She roames around and sometimes visits Balto back at home. She hardly goes into the town, because she hates humans. Once, she was captures by the Animal Shelter, but quickly learned how to unlatch the cage, and soon got back into the forest.
