Personality: Nanuq is completely different from his brothers and sisters, he is a quiet and rather cowardly boy who likes to keep to himself most of the times. He hasn't got the highest self esteem, and thinks very little of himself because he's not as strong and brave as his parents and siblings. Nanuq is pretty much a loner, he likes to be alone because he thinks not many want him around them, except his family of course, he knows they love him but he just doesn't know how to appreciate himself. The only one he really talks and opens his heart to is his older brother Yahto. Nanuq loves walking in the night and just sitting under the moon light, he considers the moon a kind of a companion and sometimes talks to it, even if it may seem a little weird. If he is challenged to a fight by another wolf, Nanuq just turns around and walks away, because in his mind being coward  is way more honourable than revealing your teeth and claws.

History: Nanuq was the youngest pup in James and Luna's litter, and not only was he the smallest but he was the weakest of them all as well, and it wasn't sure if he was even going to make it but he managed to surprise everyone positively. So, he grew to be a healthy pup, but instead of happily playing with his brothers and sisters, he was always alone in their den or outside it with his mother, he was never a social pup and just thought anyone wouldn't care to have him in their company. Nanuq had a very low self esteem, and from time to time his older brother Yahto was realy his only friend and the one he talked to when he was feeling down. His father also tried to build up his spirits every now and then, but as Nanuq and his siblings grew he was still the same quiet and unsure wolf. As they all had reached adulthood, Nanuq had been assigned to go on a hunt, which was meant to build up his self confidence, and Yahto was to join him. They found a small herd of caribou, and chased it, but just then a big grizzly bear appeared and killed every last caribou they were after. All of a sudden, Nanuq felt a rush of adrenaline go through him and a feeling of fury towards the bear, and despite his brother telling him to back away he lunged at the grizzly. He struck him against a rock, making fall helplessly to the ground, and Yahto now came to his help, but only to be hit on the back by the bear's massive claws. Nanuq watched helplessly as his older brother used his last strength to chase the grizzly to a ledge, jumping to his snout sinking his teeth into it, and as the bear rose to his back feet he backed towards the edge of the cliff, falling to his death and taking Yahto with him. Nanuq cried desperatly his brother's name, and once he could move again, he walked back to the pack, heartbroken and told his family the news. No matter what his parents told him, Nanuq always blamed himself and his only wish was to go back to that moment and listen when Yahto told them to back away.
