Personality: A "give your life for your family" father, being that he's done it once before, and he would gladly do it again, Norook was a beta of the Wolvensong clan, Aniu's pack. He took on every responsibility he could get his paws on, and his mate, Cystalline, by his side, nothing could stop him. His family kept him going, for he saw that that was his only purpose in life. But in his afterlife, he seemed to become even more protective over his sons and daughters. Some even say that when encountered by a force, the Silvermoon pups' eyes glow yellow for a moment, though they can never feel it.

Background: Norook's life has been lost in history, and not many even know of him. The facts known is that Cystalline, Aniu's sister, mated with Norook and they broke off to form their own pack for a while. A betrayal and heartbreak caused the two to drop their hierarchy as alphas and return to where they could be accepted. Though Norook didn't get the warmest welcome from Aniu, being that he took her sister and ran off together. Though it's thought that Norook and Crystalline only had one litter, they had one before they returned to Wolvensong, Moondreamer, who is still believed to roam the wilderness, though no one, except the parents, have ever seen her. Norook fathered another litter, Yukon, Denali, Alpine, Haven, and Zion, later on in life, after he and Crystalline made their return to Wolvensong. Even though he wasn't liked in the pack, he soon grew to be respected and proved himself worthy of being a beta. Cystalline, being that she was Aniu's sister, was also allowed to move up with him. They spent the next months migrating farther and farther back, caring for pups, the sick and elder, and the entire family, once said to be a hundred strong. He was a hunter, a fighter. He always wanted his offspring to excell in life, but he pitied poor Denali, being that Crystalline babied him until the point of no return. But a fateful day took down the beta, along with his mate. The alpha, Aniu, also suffered the fate of human environment interaction. The alpha male, Balto's father, disappeared never to be seen again. The pack split after their numbers dwindled in the teens, and most moved on to form other packs, join others, or go lone. Norook's final words were to his son, Yukon. They were "My son, I take my final breaths, but you, I trust will keep the Silvermoon family alive and well. Please, do not let them suffer this same fate, for I cannot protect you like I-" ... Indeed, a very sad way to go... Though he cannot protect his loved ones anymore, he continues to watch over them. It is Norook's existance that makes the Silvermoon family a mystery. Though they seem like your average bunch of wolves, the history is deep enough to go through the world and back. Before his death, his eyes were a greenish-blue. Now, they have taken on the golden glow that is known in his ghastly form.

Relation to Balto: Norook wasn't generally accepted in Aniu's pack, Wolvensong, and his love for the alpha's sister didn't make him too much more liked. But it was only because she didn't like him, therefore, he couldn't be kicked out of the pack, being that he was an asset, the head hunter of the pack at that time. But when things became too much to bare, Norook and Crystalline ran off together to start their own pack. Much betrayal and heartbreak later, they came back. It wasn't a warm welcome for either of them, though Crystalline was accepted back in. Norook was eventually accepted after Crystalline threatened to leave again with her mate. He was the uncle of Balto, and the inlaw of Aniu.

Likes: Norook likes persistance. It's how he is, and when someone is persistant with him, then he knows that this wolf is sensible. His thought was "If you don't try, you aren't worth my time". He loves his mate, and his offspring as well. He enjoys being alone as well, and though he has never been seen, it was said that he roams the wilderness, never been laid to rest. A ghost, some might say. A spirit. He likes Nava, being that the two were mentored by the father of Aniu, a blind wolf by the name of Tsitka. Nava has been seen talking to the clouds before, and it is rumored that indeed, that is Norook.

Dislikes: The fact that he is no longer living. He cannot be seen by a wolf not taught in the ways of the elements. Nava is the only one that he knows of. He despises humans, and the very thought of them, angers him to the core. He doesn't like the way that his mate treated Denali, being that his son now clings to Yukon, which he also has mixed feelings about, because he did make Yukon promise to take care of his siblings, so he doesn't know if it went horribly wrong or horribly right. He also cannot stand the fact that he can't be there with his sons to tell them how proud he is of them that they've grown up to be respectable brutes.
