Characteristics

• Personality: Panda is a calm soul. She's a good friend to have, as she's very patient and will listen to everything you have to say. However, if she finds anything offensive, she will let you know. She's very sensitive and has a hard time holding her tongue. She's sort of accident prone, but she means well and tries her best all the time. Panda likes being in control of things as it's a sense of security for her and how she copes.Very loyal.
• Loves: Don, Rachel, her humans, making friends, sleeping on the porch on a sunny day, and going on moonlit walks; especially with Dusty and Cora.
• Hates: Losing arguments, things not going her way, when Don left after their hookup, and how Joshua and Robyn reacted to her trying to bring herself into their lives.

History

• Being born in a litter of seven to two dogs that were used to fight illegally, Panda and her siblings were forced to grow up rather quickly. They were all starting to train to fight against other dogs, and most of the pups were sold to compete in the same pit. Even if Panda had all of the qualities to fulfill the role, she was always refused when she was left open for bidding. Panda was terrified seeing what her parents did to other dogs; tearing away at flesh and mangling them beyond recognition. She hated the humans that had her parents do this. Instead of being put down, someone offered to take her as a last hope sort of deal. She ended up in the outskirts of the town of Nome. Panda strongly missed her family and she wished she could be with them, but she was thankful that she wasn't in the same situation any longer.
• Panda's teenage years went by rather quickly. She was alright at making friends, but she sometimes accidentally lost them due to her snappy temperament. She didn't let this discourage her though, and she kept trying. Even if she had amazing owners, she knew she was getting lonely for romantic company. She never found a partner in her teenage years. But she did find a great friend who would stick around by her side til the end; a young female named Cora.
• Freshly into adulthood, Panda found out that her owners were going to use her to breed with a well-known Kishu Inu by the name of Don. Panda had heard of this infamous dog, and she was furious that she was being used to breed with him because of his sleazy reputation. Her owners weren't doing this on a whim, though. They were having money problems and decided to breed to a dog that everyone knew about. Don's owners wouldn't normally have their dog breed with just any mutt, but they were friends with Panda's owners and were more than willing to help out. No matter the reason, Panda was highly against this, but she knew it was unavoidable.
• Much to her surprise, Panda found herself to take a liking to Don. She never admitted this though, of course. She adored his charming nature, and really loved being around him as he took the time to get to know her. Don and his owners stayed at Panda's house for a few weeks, as their house was almost completely destroyed by a tree that had fallen during a storm. Don was very nice to Panda, and not only because they were going to breed together, but he genuinely liked her; not like his other partners. Soon enough, Panda gave birth to two puppies; a boy and a girl. They were sold off quickly, and Panda was grateful. As much as she liked Don, she wanted nothing to do with her puppies. She didn't see them as her own, as she didn't want them to begin with.
• Life had been very quiet and lonely the next few years without Don around. She thought about him a ridiculous amount of the time. She was always happy to see Cora though, as she kept her spirits high. She decided to spend more time with her than she did normally, as the loneliness was really starting to bother her. She'd pull her chain and went off to see her more often. One day, Cora had introduced Panda to her half sister; Dusty. She figured it'd be nice for Panda to have another good friend, who had also had a breeding encounter with Don. She too had been forced to breed with him, but she had a mate which made things stressful for her. But, both Panda and Dusty hit it off right away and became close friends.
• On a daily walk with her owners near a river, Panda had spotted a soaked white dog laying down alongside it. Worried, she barked and alerted her owners. As her owners knew about everyone in Nome at this point, they could tell who the dog belonged to. They brought the poor dog to her home. By the time they had arrived, the dog had awoken. Panda, worriedly checking on her, had asked what happened. The dog introduced herself as Rachel, who was ironically Don's daughter. Rachel had explained that she was doing her job chasing down a bear with her group, but she accidentally fell down a cliff into the river. Panda told Rachel to rest before she returned to her group, and that she'd help her find them if she needed it in the next couple of days. Panda had felt a strange maternal feeling for Rachel, but Rachel didn't seem to mind as her mother was dead. She enjoyed Panda's company. Even Dusty and Cora had encouraged Panda, as they knew the poor girl had a lot of troubles already for being a teenager.
• Rachel and Panda's bond had grown so much to the point that Rachel would start calling her "mom". Panda loved this. But now, Panda had often thought about her two pups that she had with Don. She was kicking herself now, as her mind filled with regret that she realized it was stupid to not care for them. She really missed them and wanted to be in their lives. She eventually sought out to find them. Panda easily found her daughter, Robyn. Panda was surprised to know that Robyn was looking for her as well. Though the reason was different. Robyn was enraged that Panda didn't tell her about her many half siblings and that her father was a breeding dog. Panda tried to explain what happened, but Robyn didn't cooperate well with her. Robyn was busy with her own pups and disinterested mate, and wanted nothing to do with her mother at this point. Panda tried to find her son next. It took some time to find him, but he was on the other side of Nome. He was a stray. Joshua was clearly disinterested in Panda, but he wasn't as harsh on her as Robyn was. Panda had tried to convince him that she really had wanted to be in his life, but Joshua paid no mind to her and completely ignored her. Sadly, Panda returned home.
• Soon, Panda overheard her owners talking about moving. Panda was devastated to find out that she couldn't go with them. She was given to Mr. Conner, the man who worked at Nome's post office. Mr. Conner had met Panda a few times before and really enjoyed her personality, so he gladly took her. Especially now that she was an older, mellowed out dog. She stayed with an elderly Miniature Airedale Terrier for awhile. She never got to know him too well, but he soon died from a heart attack. As Mr. Conner realized that Panda needed company, he surprisingly bought Don as his owners had wanted nothing to do with him anymore as he was too old to use for breeding. As Don was out of the spotlight, he realized his popularity died. This was extremely overwhelming for him and he had a mental breakdown, since he was used to being in the center of attention all the time. Panda was there to support him through that time, and the two eventually became mates. Panda lives out her life at the post office with her friends and family.

• Trivia: Panda had once developed a crush on her friend, Dusty, but it was never as strong as her feelings for Don, so she never acted on it.
