Personality: Outgoing and enjoys making friends, but gets drained out after having too much social interaction. He loves feeling useful and enjoys keeping himself busy; when he’s not doing anything, he feels purposeless. He is very driven and hardworking. He doesn’t have much time or interest in having a mate, but is charming around girls (a trait he inherited from his father) and is always polite to them. He isn’t afraid to stand up for what’s right.
Likes: Running, being on a team, keeping himself busy, snow, playing, the beach
Dislikes: Being bored, people who are entitled, summertime, horses (it's a weird fear)
History: Remi was the fifth pup born in Saba and Jean-Claude’s litter. Growing up, he expressed an interest in being a sled dog like his father. He was adopted by a young girl at eight weeks old, but her parents had him trained by a musher when they saw his potential. Remi trained on the beach every day with his father as well as his sister Felicie, who was also interested in dogsledding. When he was about two years old, many of the dogs on Nome’s mail team (including his uncles and aunts) retired, so many spots opened up for new dogs. Remi got a spot on the team alongside his cousin Prudhoe. Working with Prudhoe helped the two cousins to form a close bond, and they often relied on each other’s teamwork during mail runs.
By around 1933, when Remi and Prudhoe were around three years old, their time on the mail team came to an end. Airplanes were becoming increasingly popular and replaced dogsled teams when it came to carrying supplies. Thus, Prudhoe and Remi were left without a job for a while. Prudhoe was occupied with his mate Aspen who was expecting, and therefore didn’t suffer much from losing his job. Remi, on the other hand, didn’t really have anything going for him besides his mail dog career, so he felt like he no longer had a purpose. However, when autumn came around, Remi and Prudhoe joined a sled team that transported people to nearby places where a plane wasn’t needed.
Being a sled dog, Remi attracted a lot of girls. He liked the attention, but wasn’t really interested in any of them. He was more focused on his job, friends, and family.
