This mean Tug usually lets others down without really meaning to. he has little confidence in himself but works well with a team if that team is willing to help him along. He doesn't like confrontation and feels himself weaker than that of his father and sister. He seeks his father approval above anyone else's, then his sisters. Tug isn't shy but can be pretty awkward and has yet to find his purpose. often found daydreaming of one day being as great a sled dog as his father.
Likes: when his humans give him belly rubs. scratches behind the ears, sausage, bones, food and napping. above all else Tug highly appreciates a soft pillow to rest on or a blanket to call his own.
Dislikes: Ending up with far too much responsibility.Letting others down because he should have just said no. The things his father's team says about him, to his face even, around his friends and sister. Being undersized for his breeds male standard and not having a sled dog cut. Tug also hates having to work extremely hard at something and rather it just come naturally for him. bad blood and ill will isn't his thing either, Tug would rather everyone get along.

History: Tug wasn't the runt of the litter that Steele's Musher bred with Seppala, Togo & Frits' Musher's, breeding female. In fact, he had been the largest pup in the litter, no one would have guessed he would end up being the smallest as the pups matured. the same height as his sister. far too small for a breeding Male. thus, at 12 months Seppala had Tug neutered.
The prospect of no pups never bothered him, Tug wasn't one for such responsibility. He rarely got being a house dog and a right. he was scrawny and small with lanky legs. He would never be the Lead dog his Father Steele was. Even his human said he wouldn't make a Team dog if he tried.
This bothered Tug, of course, he wouldn't show it. He didn't want to cause any trouble for anyone else and accepted his fate. The life of a house pet wasn't so bad. fluffy beds, warm blankets, nights by the fire, cuddles from human pups. Hey, he had no complaints. Even still in the deepest parts of his heart, Tug dreamed of being Lead Dog just like his father. Alongside his father. But he just didn't have the sled dog cut or size.
He heard of Balto, I mean who hadn't, and his great feats. he had also heard that once Balto wasn't considered to have a sled dog cut either. however it was also true Balto was far bigger than Tug. Then there was Star, Tug found that even he wasn't that scrawny. But if his Owner and his Father both agreed he would fail as a sled dog. they must have been right.
Luckily, Tug wasn't alone. Though it was true that most of the family had gone into some form of work. Sled dogs, Mail Dogs, Freight dogs, and Rescue dogs. Some even being hunting dogs. Tug always had his sister Fox. who was his exact size, and small for even a female. Fox adored being a house pet and having her alone with him most days made indoor life seem less boring. she would even help him sneak out of the yard to explore Nome.
Tug made fast friends with big red Husky name Kodi, Kodi had stood up for Tug who was being made fun of by a team of Mail Dogs stating "any dog can be a sled dog if his heart is strong enough". Tug would later find out that Kodi was the son of Balto, who was a rival to Tugs family, being that there was bad blood between Balto, Steele, and Togo. However, Kodi and Tug were best friends. Tug saw Kodi as more than just the son of a legend, and Kodi saw Tug as being more than just a house pet. Tug would follow Kodi and his teammates around town, and they treated him as part of the team. Some days if he dreamed hard enough, they even made him feel as if one day he could be a Mail Dog too. Kodi aims to help Tug live his dream to run along with Kodi and his team and one even alongside Steele.

Relation to Balto: Steele is his father, Togo and Fritz from the true story are depicted as his half-uncles. He meets up with and becomes close friends with Kodi despite their families bad blood.
