He was fast, but that was a one time thing, as he worked out an attack plan. Alpine (56 days) : "I'm not a pup...." he responded sharply, before looking over his shoulder at the second raven that joined, using one eye for her, and one to monitor the pup's move. He let out a squawk, a series of them, a language incomprehensible to anything that wasn't a Raven, or a fluent crow. He moved to the side slightly, revealing the meat pile from the rabbit, before turning his attention towards the pup, standing taller. Alpine (56 days) : At the smaller wolf's approach, he nearly flew away, before realizing it was a pup. They were typically weak and ignorant...he had taken them before, since meat was meat, but in order to do that, he'd need to sure it away from it's parents. He stood tall, puffing out the feathers on his head, and around his legs. His size seemed to increase to twice what he was before, as the crimson blood from the Raven's pray dripped from his beak, his claws digging into the flesh, as he stood on it, lifting himself higher. Ara Darkfire (56 days) : There was the soft sound of scaled talons on grasses, a soft whump of a hard landing. It was another avian, this one female, who had come flying upon hearing the commotion. She walked carefully towards the larger avian, shadowing him as quietly as she could muster... Alpine (56 days) : Out of the corner of his eye, a distraction from the wolves, he noted a rabbit, hidden in some brush. With as much stealth as he could muster, since his cover hadn't been blown, he turned, locking onto it. He flew fast, and dropped low to the ground, closing in. In a split second, the rabbit reacted as the raven came bursting through the grass, but a beak landed on it's head like a club, stunning it, as the bird continued to peck mercilessly, eventually killing the rabbit, before dragging it deeper into the grass, to hide from the wolves. He managed to punch through the soft flesh on the belly, and began pulling meaty morsels out, swallowing them quickly, stopping only to look around for threats, before indulging himself on the smaller animal's meat. Insanitie's Fire (56 days) : Kaida looked over at Skylar, "That was interesting." He nodded, "Yes....yes it was. When exactly did more canines come to this area?" Kaida shook her head. "I was not aware anything was even here. But he said they were going back to the mother. Which makes me assume there are more pups. One little rabbit won't feed them all." Alpine (56 days) : High above the trees, the wind buffeted feathers of black, keeping the animal attached to them aloft. His keen eyes spotted large movements down below, as he tilted his head, zooming in with one eye, before twisting his tail, lowering a wing towards the ground, and casually turned towards them. He leveled, and banked to the other side, circling them, a small group of wolves in a slow, lazy spiral downward, without a sound. Insanitie's Fire (56 days) : Skylar smiled. "We have lived here for years young pup." Gesturing to Kaida he said, "Both me and my mate." Insanitie's Fire (56 days) : Kaida skidded to a halt beside Skylar. "Ummm....Skylar, who is this?" Raising his head he scented the air around him and found an unfamiliar smell. It was a mixture of lilac and honey, overcoming him in a wave of confusion. Pricking his ears he listened for anything.
