Shark> You made some points, but official Rules still state that sexual talks are strictly forbidden. And also that this site is open for children.

The movies may not be aimed at kids, but they are still kid-friendly. Kids should be able to watch them without their parents worrying about adult language and subjects to show up; that's why they are rated G.

Kids will eventually see those subjects, but do we want this site to have that kind of reputation? Plus, there are several adults (myself included) who just flat out do not like that kind of talk, here or otherwise. f this is truly a fan site, we should strive to maintain the family-friendly atmosphere the films created. Kid-aimed, no. Kid-friendly, yes. There is a difference.

Just my 2c worth.

I'd like to quote what a friend of mine had to say when he found out about this:

I just have to say this whole concept of rules like this is retarded. Even Phil Weinstein agreed with me that this trilogy was obviously NOT aimed at small children. Do you really think Universal would go out of their way to cast all these stars as well as do these hyper realistic backrounds if the main demographic were little kids? No. So that IMO makes this rule pointless. We get its a G rated film but that doesn't mean that 5 year olds use the site or follow this like teens and adults do. Seriously.

I had to edit out two (censored) that were in the original version of this, which was on Skype. But in all fairness, all a rule like this does is delay the inevitable of children knowing the existence of those things that can't be spoken of. I'm not saying that I condone those subjects coming up. But I also refuse to condemn them. It's not the subject that's the problem. It's the context. And yet from what I've seen, the mods on here aren't capable of making that distinction, much like how airport security people can't tell a bomb joke from an ironic musing about bombs.

And the alcohol and drugs are things you hear about in health class in elementary school. I heard about those in health class when I was that age. The (censored) part isn't usually taught until middle school. At least that's how it was when I was in school. I say, if kids can handle being taught about those things in school, they can handle hearing about them online. This is what I have to say about this and anyone who doesn't like it... well, that's your problem.

It amazes me it took until NOW for this to be addressed. I've been back for about a month now and there was plenty of "inappropriate" comments being made then, many of them by myself as well so I'd like to know why I got a warning for it yesterday and not weeks ago like it should have been. That's why many people have been having more inappropriate conversations, because nothing was being done about it and anything that is done about it is way late.

I'm glad to see this. This is a family-friendly site; that means it should be enjoyed by kids just as much as adults. I hope now, if kids or their parents ever hop on to see what the site has to offer, they will see a friendly place that is safe for kids of all ages.

I thought that was always a rule, one that has been forgotten overtime, but now is finally being reinforced. Nice to see that again.
