Good day, Balto Sourcians! 

In spirit of returning to the fan news, I am today posting the fan art and fan images featured galleries of the week -- just like I used to! I will now, however, be posting three galleries a week instead of two!

Now, the stipulations for being featured are as follows: 

• You cannot receive more than one feature in the same category. You can, however, receive one feature per category. But you will not be featured more than twice in one month.

• Members can nominate for the next week's choices! To nominate a member, please, PM me with the user's name, a link to their gallery you'd like featured, as well as a personalized comment by you to be posted with it. Yes, you can nominate more than one member! As the "judge," it is only fair that I not be nominated or featured. Also, please do not nominate many "popular" artists; give the "underdogs" a chance. (I don't mind a popular feature now and then, but other members think of it as unfair.) You also cannot nominate yourself.

Fan Art Features

Alympex
I chose Alympex because, not only is their style something unique, but they're trying very hard in going from traditional to digital media -- and doing a good job! The artist could use the boost from members, old and new alike, to strive more in this transition. Keep up the great work, Alympex!

Daniant
I was first drawn into Daniant's fan art gallery by her style -- it's very Baltoesque, while still upholding her own. I was first captivated by the drawing, , which is made with simplicity. Yet, it still drew me in with a mysterious, seemingly dangerous tone. If you know the story of Wolf's Rain, you will like this picture!

Troubled_wolfdog
It's not very often that I go into galleries such as this; and I was glad that, this time, I let my curiosity get the best of me and I clicked on their gallery entrance picture. Troubled_wolfdog has an abundance of cute drawings. And, looking at them, they all remind me of how I used to draw. (Aaaww, nostalgia!) Troubled also works in both media type -- traditional and digital -- and is excelling rather well in their endeavor of artwork.

Fan Images Features

Soutenu Pour Mener
With today's trends of sending only line art images to the fan image galleries, I'm relived to have finally found a gallery that has some clean, original renders as well! With a lot of Soutenu's renders are also attached a "mini story," in which the artist describes the mood and "story" of what's going on -- this makes them a lot easier to understand for the viewer, as well as all the more creative.

Saske Italian Wolf
Again, another gallery with some creative renders and characters, as well as the application of the artist's own style. Saske didn't simply render, but also put the characters into a new or different background, adding a sense of individuality even the more. In a lot of images, Saske also adds some amazing shading to the images -- which is rare in a lot of digital art on Balto Source, let alone traditional.

Mishan
Mishan allows not only creative renders, but also renders that aren't just from the Balto movies. (A lot of members like puppy renders, and Balto doesn't have a lot of those to offer, and members have gone to other sources.) But, Mishan also applies Balto renders as well -- even some of the official characters. Such as in , Mishan also appeals to character creativity as well as using the "character placement" in a new or different background.

Lucian and Don's Only Daughter: Up for Adoption
There are just too many "mate" and "design" contests out there. Having one that focuses on adoption (and placing the character in a good "home") is a relief!
