Hello everyone! It has been a looong time, if not years, since a dedicated fan news article was posted here! I'm here to fix that, and I'll continue to post fan news articles in the near future!

First is a drawing done by Nephtys. I really quite like this drawing. It's simplistic, yet has a magical feel. Click on the image to see a larger version of the drawing.
The second drawing I have to share is a drawing of Balto and Boris. This drawing is very good. They have some other drawings as well that are worth a look.
The last drawing I'm going to share is a drawing done by Moki Hunter. Her art has improved quite a bit, and this recent drawing of Balto and Aniu shows it!

To celebrate Valentines day, which was yesterday, Wind created a simple, hazy image of Balto and Jenna.

Reclamation, by BaltoSeppala
Based upon "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens', this fanfic takes place in Nome during diphtheria outbreak. Steele, who's portrayed as the Scrooge, is visited by three spirits (in one night) that show him shadows of his past, and possible negative outcomes of his future.

Balto and Jenna have been together for some time, but Jenna has something she wants to tell Balto. However, recent circumstances make that an unlikley to happen.

You're welcome! This site isn't what it used to be, but I try my best
to encourage some activity. These news articles also show that someone
still does care to post updates about the site itself, which I believe
is something people like to see. I'll probably be posting another article soon. I don't know if I should try to go by a schedule, or just go at random. |

show respect towards fanfic writers since a lot of work goes into
them, and it is cool that Mighty has featured your's and DragonTamer's
fanfic in this article. I'll be more considerate on what I put in the

@Karlamon: That's not why I said what I said. You were the only one
who commented mentioning only the "artwork and images", and thanked
Mighty for sharing those. But there are two works, by two writers,
whom you at least could have taken the time to make some mention of
too. If nothing else, it simply would have been courteous. Even if
you never intended to read either of them. I should think that would have been apparent. |

That being said, things are slowly getting better. The site may be a lot less active than before, but some old members are returning, and the ones who may have been troublesome before are behaving. And there is an almost complete lack of the problems which saddled this site from 2008 through early 2014. Yes, it would be nice to see this site as active as it was from 2006 through, say, 2012 or so. But it (the significantly lesser activity level) is a small price to pay for the overall peace which now reigns.
Hopefully, as fan contributions continue to pour in, the site may become invigorated again...and not just Balto Source, but hopefully at least the sources for long-enduring and far more popular movies. These lesser-known television series and movies? Meh - I'm reticent about those. But that's me.
