Yesturday I was looking at the chat, and figured... Maybe it'd be time for some changes!
The first change is a big one : now, the default chat on all sites is the Shared Shout Box! Which means that on all the sites, you'll be able to talk with everyone, whatever the site they're on!
The other change is : I have gathered all chat functions which were scattered and basic text links, into a buttons bar that you'll find right under the chat.
This includes things you probably never or rarely used, such as :
- Changing the chat background (list of backgrounds available depends on the site you're on)
- Change the sound when someone is posting (it *should* work now!)
- Refresh the site page (usually it's automatic)
- Hide messages from one user
- Show previous messages

I get your point, DT. Maybe for sites currently being built, it could
still be the site box displayed. |

That's not true DT. The site box's are still on all the sites but when
you click on chat you're taken to the AS box. But in the box tabs
things you should one labeled site. |

This should be interesting. I only see one drawback: now that SoNIMH
Source defaults to the shared box, I'm no longer in a position to use
SoNIMH's box for updates (speaking of which, i may not have mentioned
last night that I need some screenshots of Billy Fitzgibbons; I only
have one and it'll only work for his face - and maybe not so well for
that). Is there any way around that snag? (P.S. I'm also stuck when it comes to Ms. Right, unless we forget the rule about no other chars being present in the full-body picture) |

I gotta say the addition of buttons is a nice upgrade for the box.
Much better than the old drop-down menus we had before. Oh, and I get a cameo in the article's picture? Sweet!  |
