Lately, I've been working on a few changes on the moderation side.
I have named Togo the "Site admin" of Balto Source. This means he is in charge of the mods, so if you've got complaints about them, send them to him! (
) In general, contact him if you've got any problem with the way the site is managed, except for bugs reports / requests for new functionalities that you should still report to me.
He can change the mods list and permissions himself, so that the staff will be more efficient. (in particular when it comes to inactive mods)
The role of site managers will be more than just that, though : it should also include maintaining the site content, posting news and adding pages. The interface to do that is not 100% finished, yet this will come.
In the end, I will name a different "Site admin" AND different mods for each Animation Source site, so that the work gets divided and each site can evolve separately and actively.
In particular, Lion King Source will get a different staff soon, in order to boost the site and get it more active. I'll give more details when it will be done. If you're a true Lion King fan, and you would like to devote some of your time, then you can make an exception to the rules and contact Togo.
I will be the site admin for Talespin Source, which is the site I want to concentrate on. (especially on the content side)
Among the other changes, there are different sets of permissions for each mod : for example, fanart mods can not ban visitors because that's not their job. Yet, some of them can still get the permission to ban if it reveals to be necessary. (lead moderators, for example)
This should help avoiding abuses and getting each mod to concentrate on his main task, and as a result, getting a better work quality.
Remember that you can help the moderators doing their job by reporting the problems! In particular, the reports on the shout boxes are more than reports...Be sure to use them when someone is not acting correctly there.
Last but not least, I'm still working on the "site creation" interface that will allow some members to create new "Source" sites : the moderation changes I have made were part of it. Again, just wait & see.

Thank you for the clarification. That is a comfort and a
relief...albeit a small one. |

Ok then. But currently, I'm the only one in TSS staff. So I still
don't understand the reaction. Don't confuse with the VS project, for which some members are participating - but only for that, they aren't mods. |

Nothing's wrong with TSS itself. It's a question of staffing...and I
can't and WON'T say more. |
