Balto (the first one) made me cry.

I really liked Balto and I liked Balto wolf quest because of their animatian. I think the anamatian is high standard.

Of course I liked Wolf Quest, but I must say the animation could have been a lot better, even for a DTV. I think Universal didn\'t thought at first that Balto 2 would sell well, so I believe they did it with a very small budget.

I think it has at least as much if not more plot than the original Balto. Its writing-related problem isn\'t to do with the quantity of plotting, but the quality. For instance I think it was a serious flaw to change the main character in the middle of the film, though it was an interesting idea, and with a little more skill it might have worked.

Other than Jenna being horribly off-model (vocally as well as physically) I don\'t have a problem with the animation either (and certainly not with the backgrounds), if you factor in that it was DTV, and if you factor that in, it\'d be optimistic to expect B3 to be significantly better.

I don\'t think I would have liked it even if I hadn\'t seen the first one. There was no plot, or very little of one, and the animation was awful. Like someone said a while back it\'s like an extra long add for new age. Anyways, that\'s just my opinion. I\'ll wait and see what B3 is about. I don\'t mind if they have new characters and such, but if they\'d come up with an original storyline, unlike WQ which was somewhat of a copycat of TLK 2, and some good characters that have depth I might enjoy it.

I suspect most people who were offended by Wolf Quest are Balto 1 purists, and that B3 won\'t please them regardless of what it\'s about. To me the secret is to try to regard them as seperate movies, complete with the lower expectations of DTV. If you had never seen the original Balto, would you have hated Wolf Quest, or thought it was a cool wolf-related movie? *shrug*. I agree it\'s not in the same league as the original, but in hindsight, I\'m still glad they made it. Aleu is a good character, even if some favourites from the first movie are missing. It could have been much worse.
