 It's been quite some time since I updated, so now I have many things to say.Not really good things mainly, unfortunately...

First of all, some of you may probably wonder about a few Balto sites. This is a very sad news for the Balto community, but both Balto Central and Star's Haven sites have closed their doors.

They were two of the most popular and active Balto sites on the web, which makes it even more difficult to bare; but I guess everything has to come to an end one day...(Mmm, does anyone plan to start a site?...)

A better news now : the petition reached the 1.000 signatures limit; maybe we should have waited to get more signatures, but it has been sent by mail to Universal! Now, we can just wait & see. With a little luck, they will read it and take account of it. At least, now, we can say we have done what we could to give a better future for Balto. And maybe we'll get an answer from them, who knows?

But talking about that, this is not directly related to the petition but :

Phil Weinstein, director and producer of Balto 2 & 3, sent an email to the site !!! And here's what he says :

'Hello,
I wanted to thank everyone for their continued support of the Balto
franchise. I enjoy checking in occasionally to read the various posts. I
wish I could give you news on a Balto 4, but I have not heard any plans
as of yet. I also wanted to let everyone know that this summer I will
be directing a low budget family film titled 'Penny's Wish.' You can
follow the production via our weekly podcasts at www.projectnolight.com.
Again, thanks so much for keeping the spirit of Balto going! I hope to
return to Universal someday to continue the franchise!

This contains both a good and a bad news. The good news is that Phil visits the site, and reads our messages! (yes, yes, I'm very proud of this!)
The bad news is the near-official confirmation here that there is no Balto 4 in development at the moment. And it's always a bad news to hear that Universal does not seem to plan anything for this franchise...But well, this does not mean there will never be a new Balto film. Again, we'll just have to wait (a lot) & see...
