Every so often, unfortunately, sometimes the site rules have to be brought back up again, just to refresh members of the particulars. Please, don't argue in the comments about particular situations that caused these rules to be brought up - and don't argue against the rules themselves. These rules are here to stay. The whole point of rules is to help people enjoy this site and keep it kid-friendly. If you have problems with that, or if you're otherwise unable to keep them, you're free to leave.

Specifically, the two rules that people seem to have forgotten are #2 and #3.

#2: Respect the others - This is not because you're on the internet that you don't have to respect the others. Be courteous and respect the others opinions even if they are not the same than yours.

No, you don't have to pretend like everything A-Ok all the time. But people are on this site to enjoy it, not to get in arguments. Sometimes peole have different opinions. Sometimes, yes, they even believe things that are wrong. But don't make fun of them for it. Don't make accusations. Don't bully them.

In addition, if you see members get in an argument, don't get involved; report the incident and, if anything, try to break up the argument. Getting involved only hurts both you and the others. (Besides, isn't it more fun to stand back and grab popcorn?)

#3: No obscenities -  This site is, as it has been said before, open for children.

This means, basically, no swearing. The rules strictly talk about no sex, but obscenities also involve cursing. ANY level of cursing is, from now on, strictly prohibited on the site. If you see others swearing, don't use it as an excuse to do it yourself. Ask them to stop. If they refuse, report them. (This goes for mods, too; if you see a mod swear, even using small words like "damn" and "hell", tell them to stop. If they don't, report it to another mod.)

For many people, this is simply habit, so it's understandable that they'll slip up every once in a while. But this site is kid-friendly. We want for parents to visit this site and not feel threatened, but proud that this site is safe for their children to visit. NOTHING contradicts that thought more than swearing. 

And no, we won't make a list of what is and isn't allowed. If you need such a list, you're better off self-censoring everything you think MIGHT be a swear word anyway.

Please, do not write any comments in argument of these rules. They're fixed, forever, and will be heavily enforced - though we hope it won't come to that, and the members of this site will be able to control themselves without the need of a mod holding their hand. Also, as already mentioned, do not mention specific instances that forced this news to be written up in the first place. Just read this, be reminded that these rules ARE here, and keep enjoying the site.
