3/3/09: Ok, here's the scoop: I've found I've lost most of my interest in Balto. I really can't help it, my interests have moved on to other things and- quite frankly- I can't seem to get my drawings/fics to work for me at this time. I'm going to take an extended hiatus from posting until I get some amount of inspiration back for Balto.
11/24/08: Wow, whattaya know... I actually got one of my oldest fanfictions on the must see list! 0_o I'm amazed (and a little disturbed), because The Storm part one is really badly done, in my opinion. There are so many ways I could have done better. *shrugs* Oh well. Thanks to whoever chose my fanfic! I'm happy that someone liked it enough to add it to the list. :)
Note - I believe in sticking to the official material of the Balto trilogy, and not changing the characters' established individual characteristics. (The same goes for any crossover stuff I may do.) I also enjoy seeing some historical accuracy as well, since it gives a sense of life to the fic in my opinion. - And yes, even if I'm not nearly as vocal as others are about the subject, everyone here already knows that I am fully against all sexual and just plain gory content. That should be sufficiant for all.
Anyway, you now know what I look for.
If you have a hankering for Ewan, Captain Orde, and company, I suggest reading this story here, /balto/en/view_fanfic/Ewan_Great_Responsibilty/55994.html by WolfDogAndMan. :D Hopefully he will do a few more, I greatly enjoyed reading this fic. (and yes, he had permission to write about my characters.)

Before you ask, no, you may not adopt my characters. Just because I'm done with posting for an indefinate amount of time doesn't mean you're free to take whatever characters I have neglected for so long. You have my permission to use them, as long as you stay true to the characters and give me the copyrights. They just can't be yours, ok?

'A Dish Best Served Cold' was very humerous! I was amused by the pups
all throughout the story! 'The Storm' series seemed like they were
written by a pro. Do you by chance read any 'Star Wars' novels? |

Wow, I had no idea that The Storm part 1 would be in the must see!
This story is SO OLD! *rereads it and blushes* Wow. I forgot how long it's been, I can see every little mistake I made. I'll have to get cracking on another fic, to show that my writing style has vastly improved. To everyone so far---> THANKS for all the encouragement and favs! Anvik: Yes, I do read Star Wars novels. I get a lot of inspiration
from the style that most of them are written in. I'm surprised that
you like the storm serise, I don't like the way I wrote it at all now
that I reread it (the first part makes me shudder the most). I wish I
had some more inspiration so I could write another fic, and show
people that I can do better then I did before. |

saberbone---> Really? I've never read anything by Tom Hanks, so I wouldn't know what his style is like. However, I DO try to do my work in a more old fashioned, classical style. It's easier to read in my opinion. |

DT--> Cool, I didn't even notice! 772 and Saberbone--> To tell you the truth, I don't like the Storm series much at all. It was an early work, and I can't read it without cringing at my many mistakes. I'm glad that you guys like it though! Someday, I may write a Kodi/Dusty fic, but I have too much on my plate to do it right now. Wolf Bassist---> I liked writting this poem too. I think that the movie didn't show everything we needed to feel satisfied once Aleu left. I tried to make up for that in my poem, and I was pretty pleased with it. I'm glad you liked it! |
