“Jenna….Jenna wake up! ” cryed Balto Jenna woke up. “Balto what..what?!” she said “You must have been having a nightmare Jenna.” He said “ Jenna are you felling fine?” “Yes I feel fine.” She got up from the blue dog bed she had been sleeping in on a brown wodden porch. “Morning Jenna and Balto!” said Rosie coming out of her house. “I’ll she you two later. Dad is taking my out.” Rosie said “Come on Jenna lets go into the town and see if anything is going on.” Balto said Jenna followed him thinking about her dream. She remembered colorful lights and a white wolf with a beautiful voice….howling. She put it out of her head. “Morning Jenna and Balto” said Dixie “Steele is having a party in the old barn. He has a bunch of bones and sausages. Everyone is going. It is tomorrow. What to come?” said Sylvie “No thanks.” Said Jenna She knew Balto wouldn’t go, but she didn’t really like Steele. Hours went by “Well Balto I have to meets Rosie for lunch.” Jenna said “See you later.” Balto replied

 He went walked away down the street. “Well, if it isn’t the wolfdog.” A voice said Balto turned to see a dark black and white furred dog. It was Steele. Steele always teased Balto about being a wolfdog. Balto’s mother had been a white wolf who fell in love with a dog. Balto was then born. “Hello Steele.” Balto said in a unhappy voice. Steele was mean and full of himself. “ I see the wolfdog is hanging out with Jenna.” He said “So, I like her Steele.” Balto said “Really she doesn’t belong with you. Your part wolf. Why would someone be your mate. Oh, I know a wolf!” he said Balto was mad. “Steele, just go and get frostbite in your nose.” Balto replied Steele growled. Balto jumped at Steele and bite him on the leg. “Ouch!” ctied Steele Balto let go of Steele. Teeth marks were on Steeles’s legs. It was a little bit of dark red. Steele licked it. “ Jenna’s mine Balto!” said Steele He ran off. “Steele are you Ok?”said Star Next to him was Kaltag and Nikki. “That wolfdog bit me! Do I look ok!” Steele said in Star’s face. Kaltag hit Star on the head “ Jenna has to come to your party and be your mate.” said Nikki “I’ll think of a plan.” Steele said

Meanwhile Balto was laying a big mound of cold, wet snow. “I’m back.” said Jenna “ Steele teased me again today. It isn’t my falt I’m part wolf. He think you shoulf be his mate Jenna.” Balto said “ I like you Balto. Steele is just…well” she said “Full of himself.” Balto said “I guess, but Balto I just like you. Before you saved the town no human liked you…well Rosie did. Everyone loves you now.” She said “I like you too Jenna.” Balto said It begain to grow dark. Balto and Jenna headed back to the house. “Jenna .” said a voice It was Steele again. “Jenna you have to come to my party.” Steele said He hit Balto in the face with his tail. “You and me can share a bone.” He said “Look Steele. I am not going to your stupid party. Balto you go ahead back to the home. I’ll be there in a minute.” Jenna said Balto walked away. “Look Steele I don’t like you. I like Balto.” She said madly She walked a away.” “Allright…wolf lover.” He said Jenna growled

 Later on Jenna and Balto were sitting one the porch. “Hey you two.” said Rosie as she opened the door. Balto liked Rosie. She rubbed both of Jenna and Balto on their stomaches.” See you guys later.” She went back into the house. Balto and Jenna went to sleep. Midnight came soon. Jenna was moving and gasping in her sleep. In it see saw a bunch of lights and glowing eyes. Eyes of a wolf..up in the sky. On the ground was an other creatue. She turned around and saw four more figures. Their eys werw glowing red. She looked back at the wolf and the other creature.

Meawhile outside of her dream Balto was trying to wake Jenna. “Jenna wake up!” Balto cried. Jenna’s eyes oped, but she wasn’t awake. Her eyes were glowing yellow. What was going one?

In her dream an other dark figure apeared.. a wolf with the other dark figures. “Jenna you must listen to me. “ said the voice of the wolf “ Are you going to hurt me?” Jenna said “Jenna my nameis Aniu. I am Balto’s mother. I have a message for you.” She said “What?” said Jenna “The one who hates theone yo u love is planning. He wants to destroy him with help to take you. Go the the lights and the howl of a wolf will give youn the power to fight it off.” Aniu “She howled

Jenna’s eyes wnent back to noraml. She had woken up. “Balto I say Anui, your mother. She told me a message.” Jenna said She told Balto evrything. “What does it mean? The howl of a wolf will give you power. I mean I can howl, but I am part wolf.” Said Balto “I don’t know, but I do know something bad is about to happen.” Jenna said “The Darkest Hour may be here.” Said Balto

Meawhile Steele and his agng were in the woods. I was dark and misty. “Come on you slow pokes.” Steele said He saw a dark figure. “Who….are..you?” said Kaltag “I am Niju. Steele has come to ask me a request.” Niju said “Yes, Niju you are a wolf. My girl Jenna likes this wolfdog named Balto.” Steele said “We tease Balto!” said Star “Stut up!” said Nikki “ Aw Balto he help take the pack away from me. His daughter Aleu is know leader.” Niji said “ I will ask you to help me defeat Balto and get Jenna.” Said Steele “ Oh course I will help you.” said Niju

Meawhile Balto and Jenna were walking up a hill outside of town. “ I saw lights in my rdream Balto. The Northern Lights.” Jenna said As it grew darker the night appeared. A wolf shape also appeared. Balto and Jenna looked up. “Well well.” said a voice Jenna and balto turned. It was Niju, Steele, Kaltag, Star and Nikki. “Get her!” Niju cried. Steele, Kaltag, Star, and Nikki jumped up. Balto felled over. Niju bite his leg pulled him away. Jenna was captured by the others. Nikki, Kaltag, and Star had her legs. Steele had her by the bandanna. “Bye bye wolfdog.” Said Niji. He raised up his paws and drew his claw. Balto was scared. All of a sudden the wolf in the lights howled.

Jenna’s eyes went blank. She felt power in her. Growing stronger. Jenna bloke free from the clutched of the dogs. They were so scared they ran away. Jenna raced ovr the Balto and Niju. She jumped and takled Niju. They roled around fight and biting. Jenna finally pinned him down. Niju was afriend. “Leave here Niju and never come back.” Jenna said Jenna got off Niju. He got up and ran away. Jenna’s eyes went back to normal. She was herself again. “ Steele was palnning to attack you Balto and capture me so he could take me to his pary and force me to be his mate.. He used Niju to help him. Anui saw it coming. Her howl gave me power to fight Niju.” Jenna said “Thank you for saving me Jenna.”  Balto said “Let’s go home.” As they walked away the wolf in the light howled and them disappeared.
