A lead dog named Bandit, and his team come into Nome. During their stay, Bandit falls in love with Jenna and turns Balto against Her. Balto attacks Bandit and gets caught, and must run away to keep from being put to sleep. Jenna goes to find him, and is soon followed by many of their friends. When they get back, Balto is able to prove that he is still the hero he always was.

Balto is kidnapped! He was taken to the town of Kotzebue, and is being used as a sled dog with a team made up of some dogs that were also stolen from Nome. But they are kept miserable and mistreated, But they manage to escape. The dogs are brought home, and Balto travels on foot. He meets a lone female wolf named Nakita. The two become good friends, and they travel back to Nome together. When he gets back, a rumor flies about Balto having a one-night-stand with Amber.
