Overview
Balto is an animated film, released in 1995 and produced by the Universal / Amblimation studios.
The film follows such films as An American Tail or Land Before Time from the same studio, which share common points with the Disney animated films, and were released during the golden age of traditional western animation.
The story of Balto deals with wolves and dog sledding, and is based on true facts that happened in 1925 in Nome, Alaska, where diphteria, a fatal disease, occured.
Two low-budget sequels to Balto have been released to date, being direct-to-video sequels unlike the original.

Released in 1995 in the USA, and mid-1996 in Europe, the movie didn't attract the crowd and didn't encounter the deserved success. That's the reason it is not much known compared to Disney or even Dreamworks movies, and yet...

wow this is my fave movie actually i loved it when i was younger every
week my grandmother would let us rent a movie and i always every time
picked this one i guess it would have been cheeper to just but it 
and last year i got hooked on it again still my fave luv u steel  |

The first is by far my favorite of the three movies. In my opinion,
the 2nd and 3rd both sucked. In the 1st, the voices were better, the
plot was better, and the animation was better. I can sit and watch the
1st over and over, and I can't even watch 10 minutes of the 2nd or 3rd
without getting bored of it. They shouldn't have even wasted their
time making squeals. The 1st Balto is one of my favorite movies and
probably always will be! |

I saw Balto 1 years 2008th When I first saw omsalgen I do not like
him. This summer I saw some clips on Youtube for real Balto in Central
Park in New York. I believe in him very much than other Swedish. My
whole school knows nothing about him! "What did you like the movie?" I thought it was good story, characters and voices! |
