Matt runs over to Millie to talk. Millies hair blows in the wind with the fallen leaves. Millie starts a conversation, Matt.... I think we should have pups.... Matt looks at Millie and smiles he then replys I do too to Millie I love puppies! Millie smiles and kisses Matt. Matt hugs Millie, suddenly there was a snap in the trees Millie sees somthing but cant make it out with all the leaves.. Millie was frightend Matt sees it also Matt began to growl and bark. Then suddenly a bear comes smashing throw the trees and the bear slashes Millie on her back then her leg started to bleed, Matt bit the bear in the neak then the bear slashed Matt in the leg but not badly. Matt keeps on biting the bear and dodging the bears attacks.

Millie backed up barked and slipped into the ice cold rushing river. Millie stunned that she is in the ice cold water. She cant swim becaues of her back and the curent then she found a log to keep aflot in the rushing river. She wimpers, Matt jumped into the cold water to help Millie, not thinking about the curent. Matt pulls Millie and puts her on his back and Matt trys to swim but the curent is to strong! Matt is pushed back from the curent and Matt trys to reach the bottom of the river with his pawsbut he cant and they were pushed away. Later Matt woke up on shore Matt looked around then he spoted Millie in the distance. She was on a small jagged rock. He brought her ashore on his back.

Millie was hurt, Matt let her lay on him to rest Millie was scared and cold she started to shake. Soon Matt took her throw the dark cold woods in the direction of town on his back. Mille needed a vet her back was hurt badly, Matt started to walk faster then stoped soon after for a brake. On his brake he realized he had to jump or he had to cross a old log. He took the log chance, first he tryed it to see if it would hold there wight and it then broke. Matt then knew he had to jump up onto the rock above him. Matt told Millie to hold on his collar, She held on tight. Matt just made it, he then noticed that he was far from home he had to carry Millie for four kilameters to get home. They snuggle up to keep warm for a cold fall night, in the morning Matt and Millie were covered in leaves, Matt smelt somthing odd Matt sniffed more he knew the smell before but he couldent remember were from.

He put down Millie and growled then he starts to bark hoping to scare it away. Millie looks around. Suddenly a pack of wolves start to attack him, leeping on Matt. Matt bites, pushes and pulls them they fought back hard. Matt then was covered in wolves biting and barking. Matt started to bleeding rappedly with cuts all over him as well as the wolves. Matt keept fighting because he knew he had to get Millie to the vet. The wolves where amazed how Matt could fight and some wolves took off, then a couple of wolves colapsed and the others ran off like bullets. But one wolf (the alpha male) growled and ran at Matt. Matt jumped over him. The alpha wolf crashed into a tree-stump. Matt plunged himself at the alpha wolf and bit him on the neck growling, The alpha wolf wimpered loudly and took off  Matt panting, Millie limped over to Matt and hugged him then Matt colapsed.

Millie lay beside him In the morning Matt got up and walked to a puddle and slurped up some water then woke Millie up and started to walk again soon after Matt stoped to rest and Millie lay down, Matt walked up the path. Matt nose in the air sniffing steped in a trap! Matt yelped and fell to the ground. He lay there.

Soon a bear came fallowing the sent of blood. Matt seen the bear in the corrner of his eye the bear walked to Millie and clawed her leg Millie barked then when the bear bit Millie she wimpered and yelped Millie fell to the ground. Matt growled but he couldent get up. A fox ran along the path and seen Matt. The fox sneacked over to Matt and got him out of the trap. Matt leeped on his feet and jumped on the bear. He thought about Millie, his jaw holding on tight. The bear slashed Matt but Matt dident let go. The bear tryed all sorts of things but none worked. Millie opened her eyes for a second and sees Matt bitting the bear tightly. The bear starts to run away into the trees moaning and Matt lets go of the bear.

Matt lay on the ground and soon got up slowly. He thanked the fox for her kindness to him. The fox nods and skips off. Matt pulled Millie on his back and started to walk moving slowly. Matt walks a long ways almost dead.They were almost in town and almost to the vet. Matt then colapsed, Matt then was spoted by a musher, The musher was amazed and stunned that Matt is still alive AND was carrying Millie. The musher takes in Matt and Millie to the vet.

The vet  bandiges up Matt first. After Matt was done he lay on the floor Then Millies turn to be bandiged up her back and her leg. the vet then calls Matts owner and then Millies owner by there ID tags. Millie lay in the same room as Matt waiting for her owner. Millie limps over to Matt and kissed him. She then lay beside him to keep him warm after the brave deed he done.

Matt smiles and fells asleep beside Millie.
