Sol loves her twin brother to no end. Although she is mostly fairly annoyed with his manner towards most does (except for herself and their mother, of course), she always sticks to his side and will defend him whenever it's necessary. She always holds some kind of worry that he will one day get hurt because of his careless happy-go-luck attitude.

Sorcha 

Although Sorcha is much older than her and Mercutio, Soleil quickly formed a close bond with Bambi's daughter. The two does stick together like glue and love each other as if they were sisters. Growing up and their growing interest in spending time with bucks hasn't affected their friendship at all, and although Sol finds Sorcha's and Mercutio's constant bickering annoying, the two does are of one mind and the other is always the first one they run to when they're trouled by something.

Noir and Kaiser

Sol loves her and Mercutio's parents dearly and in her fawnhood, she was quite a daddy's girl. She hasn't told them of Corvin, though, in fear it'll cause Corvin troule and worry her parents. 

Corvin

It wasn't really love at first sight when she met Corvin, but rather, she fell for him day after day the more she found out about his past and the reasons for his murders. She's deeply in love with him and would do whatever it takes to guard his secret. She is afraid of the monster he can become, but is too much in love with his true self to stay away from him, as she can easily see the many good sides he has. She is also deeply afraid of thinking about the things Corvin could do to himself if he was ever to lose her. 

Zayn

Sol is fascinated by the calico colored buck and his knowledge of the world. She enjoys talking with him and feels attracted by his intelligence and good looks. All the same, she stays faithful to Corvin, as she doesn't love him any less than before.

Personality:

Polite, friendly and kind – though being born during times of war, Soleil is well-educated and has inherited both her parent’s calmness and peacefulness. But she can still be quite stubborn and fierce when it comes to personal matters with deer she has know for a longer time or bucks of her age and does in general. Doesn’t like to let go of things that bother her, which comes from her curiousness and her urge to know and solve things and be in peace with everyone. Always tries to look behind a troubled creature’s mask, which can make her from mildly to very annoying. Doesn’t like bullying and will try to stand up against bullies, despite her small seize. Has a great sense of adventure and excitement, which sometimes resolves in getting her into trouble because she didn’t know what she had gotten herself into.

Adores her ability to see spirits, is most fascinated of Death.

her family, playing and just being with her twin, curling up with her brother when it’s cold or raining, watching the spirits with her father, her father talking about the spirits, the spirits in general – especially Death is very fascinating to her as he is the first one she has seen along with Life, peace, following her mother around, meeting and helping people, learning things, adventure, exploring, understanding other animal’s minds, justice, she adores her grandmother Faline and talking to her

Danger, the war she was born in, others being hurt, bullying, others being impolite while she tries to be nice – she can get very uncomfortable when that happens, that her mother can’t see spirits, injustice, purposely hurting others, being so small, being looked down at – or worse, ridiculed or even treaded as more fragile – because of her size

History:

Soleil and her twin brother Mercutio were born during a time when the war of the herd rested – it was spring now, and even if they had wanted to, the bucks were not as able to fight well, since there were no antlers they could use.

The birth was quite exhausting for Noir, since she was not only a first time mother, but also had twins who were bigger than average fallow deer fawns, although Soleil was smaller than a whitetail fawn.

How close Noir was to dying was shown by the fact that not only the doe Life was standing in the den, but also Death, right by the vivid doe’s side, looking down at the two little newborns and the exhausted mother. There must have been a moment when the eyes of the little doe fawn and the black buck met, for she would later sometimes see the image of those pupil-less eyes in a black face.

But death didn’t take the melanistic doe with him that day, nor did he with her fawns.

Noir raised her fawns well, and Kaiser didn’t stay away from them in the least. He was actually delighted to find out that Soleilhad inherited his ability to see the spirits, and showed many of them to the curious fawn's eyes. Noir could sometimes merely shake her head when she caught them engulfed in a conversation about the appearance of the stag River or the spirits of the wind and earth.

But Soleil and Mercutio were always raised with the thought that battle could and someday would go on even more brutal than before, and that losses would happen. But neither Noir nor Kaiser or any other deer in their herd liked telling the fawns more than what was necessary.

During her fawnhood and as well as an adult, Soleil met the stag Death quite often, and it eventually led her to meet a buck she later grew to like and love and one that threatened her life. But her fascination, curiosity and urge to help, as well as her love, kept her going, although her rationality told her to back off, and may very well put her in great danger…

The first buck she met because of Death was none other than Corvin. And she was sure that she would never forget the first time she saw him.

Throughout her whole fawnhood, she had been taught to never go near another animal which was possibly dangerous, and if she spottet one, to run away as fast as her legs could carry her and go to the nearest buck and tell him about it.

And she was sure Corvin was dangerous - standing over the slaughtered body of some unfortunate deer, partly coverd in blood, his ear torn into shreds. Certainly not a buck her parents - or anyone, for that matter - wanted her to be around.

A part of her mind told her to run away before the buck noticed her, as she was clearly in danger around him and he was obviously the murderer who was going around. She needed to tell her parents, the prince - anyone. She was to hate this buck, to fear him.

But she didn't.

He didn't look like she had pictured a murderer. He was shaking, he was crying, he seemed just miserable.

She felt pity for him.

How could someone who looked this broken, this sad, this full of regret, he a cold blooded murderer?

Corvin eventually spotted her and ran away, saying she wasn't safe around him. But curiosity had risen inside her, and she seeked him out more than once, wanting to know what was behind this buck's mask. Their meetings followed the same pattern for a long time, but eventually, Corvin stayed to talk to her.

Soleil was cautious at first, but nice and friendly. She found out about Corvin's past, about his split personality - everything. 

And she felt that she could never hate him, no matter how many murders he would commit. 

To be exact, she felt she started caring for him. At night, when she lay in her den, she would think about him and wonder if he was okay, or if he had been caught or killed. 

She didn't quite understand, but she found herself madly in love with the psychotic young buck, and although she knew no one would understand, her feelings got deeper and deeper. 

She met him very often, despite the danger she knew she was getting herself in, and enjoyed each of those meetings.

She didn't tell many about her and Corvin, just her brother and some of her close friends, in case something happened to her.

Which she of course hoped wouldn't.
