Thought I'd start a topic discussion about this series ^^

101 Dalmatians the series acts as a continuation of the puppies adventures on thier home on the farm, the series focuses on mainpups Lucky, Rolly, and Cadpig, and their chicken friend Spot (why a chicken? I dunno) as they foil the plans of Cruella De Vil whom now wants the Dearlys' farm

the series acts as a mix between the continunities of the novel and movies since it has elements of all of them (Cadpig and Patch from the novel, Lucky and Rolly from the 1961 animated movie, and Two-tone, Dipstick, and Wizzer from the 1996 live action movie)

Characters in the series:

Lucky - the ultra cool leader of the mainpups, he's very slick and very loveable but also stubborn and sometimes lets his ego get the best of him

Rolly - the big pup of the mainpup group, he loves to eat but is loyal to his friends although he has been on the badside on two occasions when he faked killing a snake and joined Mooch's gang and when he helped Swamp Rat steal from Mooch's gang as a way of revenge for their bullying him.

Cadpig - the spiritual guru pup of the group, Cadpig is the runt of the litter (just don't say it to her face) she's also the youngest but also the sweetest and one of the most popular characters in the fandom (next to Two-Tone and Lucky)
Cadpig acts as the balance of the group keeping a positive attitude and has a big heart, she also had flings with Mooch and Blaze

Spot - a chicken whom think's she's a dog, she's the fourth member of the main group but is very unpopular in the fandom (maybe cause she's pretty annoying or she hogs alot of focus other pups could have used) it's mainly cause she's a cannon mary-sue (she won a dog show in the ep "Best of Show", was transformed into a dog then back into a chicken in the episode "Spot's Fairy God Chicken")

Other pups

Patch - seen in the background alot Patch has the look he has from Dodie Smith's original novel rather than his movie look, he's refered to as being laid back in the series

Two-Tone - she debuted in the 1996 live action movie, now she appears in the series with a new look (black ears, gold hoop earring in her right ear, black spot on her cheek like a beauty mark, lower black body and white spots) She was once Mooch's girlfriend and a member of his gang but left Mooch in the episode "Love em and Flea Em" for Lucky, she's one of the most popular pups in the 101 Dalmatians fandom (next to Lucky and Cadpig of course) although her role in the series is limited to background appearences. many fans (myself included) feel she should have done more with Lucky and his group

Dipstick - One of Mooch's gang members Dipstick also appeared in the 1996 live action movie, his look remains the same although his nose is a shade of brown, he's the goofy pup who does what he's told to do

Wizzer - One of Mooch's gang members, Wizzer's look drastically changed in the series, he has white ears instead of black and looks skinny, he still has his bladder problems (as seen in "A Christmas Cruella" and "Dalmatian Vacation part 1")

Pongo and Perdita - the proud parents of the litter, they too appeared in the series but in more of a supportive role to their kids, they remained unchanged from the movies.

Human Characters

Roger and Anita - The Dearlys (using the surname from the novel and live action movie instead of the Radcliffe surname from the 1961 classic) also show up in the series (they own the farm ya know) their occupations have changed quite a bit, Anita works for Cruella as a fashion designer while Roger is a game developer (from the 1996 live action movie) Both appear in supportive roles

Nanny - she too appears in a supportive role in the series although she's not dressed as a maid anymore (she wears a shirt and overalls in the series) it's also believed Horace has a crush on her.

Amber Campbell - Roger and Anita's kindhearted niece appeared in one episode "Beauty Paegent Pandemonuim" Her character shows a kind heart to the puppies and she loves to play with them.

Villans

Cruella De Vil - if she doesn't scare you no evil thing will. Cruella's the villan once again but this time she wants the Dearlys farmland (instead of the puppies for a furcoat)

Jasper and Horace - Cruella's bungling henchmen, in the series they preform a bunch of oddjobs for Cruella (including security, matinence, handling her schemes, etc..) It's rumored Horace has a crush on Nanny

P.H. De Vil - Cruella's mad scientist cousin, he does experiments to animals (including making Rolly inflate like a balloon and even cloning a good version of Cruella which over antagonized the Dearly family) he appears in a few eps of the series

Cecil B De Vil - Cruella's brother (and famous director) he appeared in a few episodes including Prima Doggy (which was banned along with Alive and Chicken)

Ivy De Vil - Cruella's evil niece, Ivy is never seen without her baby doll carriage (which is a weapon of mass destruction) In her first appearence she almost got all the Dearly Dalmatians thrown in the dog pound but luckily her scheme was exposed by Spot, Ivy also lost a beauty paegent to Amber.

I'd suggest you add some information to your post.
Some info on the series, your thoughts on it, the characters, maybe a picture or two.

I didn't care much for this series. -shrug- It just didn't really appeal to me.

Same here. The movies were great, but after watching a few episodes of the series it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I guess it was okay, but I didn't watch it too much, it just looked too different from the original design for me to like it that much.

I remember though, I hated the chicken.

Every time someone asks me of this series, how rare that gets, I keep thinking about the Snoopy family reunion episode from Charlie Brown as opposed to 101 Dalmatians. I guess it might've had to do with the fact it's main stories took place on a farm, where in which the other movies it was in a snowy town/area kinda place. *shrug*

If not the Snoopy cartoon, US Acres segment from the Garfield cartoon.

One of the series co-creators was Doug's creator, Jim Jinkins.

Hey, Two-Tone! Guess which one of the Dalmatians voices I came in contact with today.

For my friend, Two-Tone courtesy of Dipstick's voice, Thom Adcox-Hernandez:

2. My friend is a 101 Dalmatians fanatic. She owns all the movies and every episode of the series on her computer.

What was it like playing Dipstick on the series?

Dipstick on 101 Dalmatians: The Series wasn't nearly as much fun because we would do the voice over seperately one at a time at different times....with Gargoyles we did it as a group like a theatre play reading.....and I never had too many lines on 101 Dalmatians: The Series.

I hope you like it Two Tone.

The Rest Of The Interview:

1. What was it like playing Lexington on Gargoyles the series?

Hey, playing Lexington on Gargoyles was really an awesome experience, one of the best of my career, working with all the incredible actors and all the amazing guest stars was so cool...I made some great friends on that show one of them being the executive producer and creator Greg Weisman, such a great guy...and others.

Gargoyles was on awesome show too. I hope you like it Two Tone.

This really brings nothing to the topic. You could always make a new topic about your interview, instead of morphing it into this topic. Otherwise it could drag the topic off topic.
