While the prospects of ever making a Balto video game are slim, it's still a nice thing to think about. It makes you think though, if one really had the means at their disposal to make a Balto video game, how would they make it. Here is what I came up with, keep in mind the list is not exhaustive.
1. A Balto Source Racing Game: Players can create a lead dog, team, and sled and race against the cpu or other players online. Players could unlock special perks that their teams can utilize and characters as they win more races. I'm a big fan of the Mario Kart series, so on the track there would be item boxes and powerups to help level out the playing field.
2. A 1st person over the shoulder action game: This is the most difficult and weakest in my opinion. Players would play as Balto or someone else and basically just play based on the storyline of the three movies. In my opinion this would be the easiest, but ultimatley least fullfilling.
3.Fighting Game: This is my personel favorite. In the style of classic fighting games like Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros, players can choose from a lineup of Balto Source characters or create a character of their own to battle it out in exoctic locales inspired by the movies.
4.MMORPG: In the style or World of Warcraft, players can design their own character and set them off on various missions set in the world of Balto.
If there is an idea that you have that I didn't list in some form or another please post it with your description.

I've always thought some sort of action/RPG would be good. Have you ever heard of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series? Maybe it could be something like that, where you have your character and they can travel around the game world, exploring new places, helping others out and finding items. There would be the main plot missions, but there would also be a bunch of side missions that you could do to gain extra experience.
