Fang saw the lights of Nome appear. "There it is."

Jenna smiled and sighed at the same time.

"So that's what it looks like." said Sable.

Rosie petted Mel on the head. "Hey Mel, you waiting for Balto and the other's too?" she asked.

"We're almost home," Saba said.

"Isn't it beautiful," May said in an awed voice. She had never been more happy to see it in her life.

Mel allowed Rosie to pet him while giving Dipsy an "I told you so" look.

Kodi led his team across the finish line. Finally.

Fang relaxed on the finish line. "We made it."

"Finally! Home!" said Dusty, happy.

Jenna let Balto out. "We're home honey." she said, nuzzling him.

Rosie smiled and ran over to Balto and Jenna and hugged them. "Glad to have you back!" she said then smelled the musk on them and backed up holding her nose. "You're stinky, come on home and I'll give you a bath."

Miki went over to Mel and Dipsy, forgetting she stunk too. "We're back."

"We're home!" May squealed. She nuzzled Fang happily.

Ralph was huffing with his head down. "That was the fasted I've ever run," he panted.

"Oh, came on, Ralphy boy,"Kirby said, wiggling out of hid harness. "Just be glad we made it home."

"And where have you been?" Mel asked. Saba and Rose walked up beside Miki. "All of you lied to me. You knew they weren't back. I was worried sick about all of you. I can't believe-"

"Whoa!" Dipsy said, interrupting Mel and placing a paw to her nose. "You guys stink!"

"Me too," May said, laying down and relaxng for the first time in hours.

"Anyone know how long it takes to get a tomato juice bath ready?" Ralph said, really strating to hate the stench.

Mel back up from Miki's tail. He put a paw to his nose.

"I think you'r ride is leaving," Dipsy said, seeing the rest of the sled team walking away.

"Let's go wash this stuff of once and for all," Rose said, padding after the sled team.

May rubbed her nose. "Mine stings a little."

"Mine is tired of smelling skunk musk," Ralph complained.

Rose glared at Miki, a look that said "Shut up."

"See, Mel," Dipsy said. "The whole getting lost thing wasn't completely terrible."

"Well, it's disgusting," Ralph said. "I officailly hate skunks."

"Oh, yeah," May said. "I almost forgot." She got up and walked out of the room.

Rose pouted as she flattened her hair back down.

Saba rolled her eyes. "Rose, would you stop being such a drama queen?"

"Well, something bad had to come out of it too, I guess," Dipsy said.

May picked up the other handel and began draggint it to Steele's place.

"A little," Ralph said.

"Balto broke his leg?!" Mel said in a paniced voice.

"Didn't you hear the girl?" Dipsy said. "It'll heal."

May laughed too. She had to make sure she didn't laugh too loud, though. That was hard. "Lets go," May said, still giggling, and nudged Fang with her paw.

Kodi looked up. "Nothing, really. I just can't believe we're really home, I guess." The truth was he was thinking about finidng his grandfather and ways to bring it back up with Balto.

"I just want a bath," Rose said grumpily.

"But he got hurt!" Mel said.

Dipsy rolled her eyes at him.
