Animation Source Forums

There's a topic under the films/series section that I think we could do without; the "what are you watching right now?" topic. All people do is post a response of what they're watching at the moment. That's it. There's never really any real discussion that takes place in that topic, making more of a useless topic in my opinion. And seeing as how the topic has been around since 2009, I think it has over-stayed its welcome.

While we're at it, can I suggest we also remove the "What Are you Listening to Right Now?" topic in the Musics section? It's exactly the same thing. People just posting what they're listening to without discussing anything.

I agree. That topic, and the topic I mentioned, doesn't bring anything worthwhile to the site. If anything, it just encourages users to continue posting in those topics. There's also a third topic that I'm not sure should be allowed any further. Under the "forum games" section there's atopic called the "off topic topic." It's basically just a chat, not a game. And really, leaving it there could be a place for things to go un-seen.

Perhaps instead of getting rid of it, we can try to get members to actually discuss, along with posting what they're watching/listening to. I can see where you'd think it was useless and/or annoying, but it's not breaking any rules.

If you could manage to convert these topics into discussions, that would be great. But as for the off topic topic, which is basically just a chat (which that in itself defines it as not being a game) like I said, I personally don't think it belongs on the forums. I know that I can't force anyone to do anything, I'm just tossing that out there.
