So the title is actually misleading.
Kinda
I just thought I would like to share some fanwork that my good friend Skotta (a former Animation Source member) has made for her school. She is currently studying animation and multimedia at her college and has made a wonderful 3D animation featuring Balto.
Here are the videos:
NOTE: The whole project is done in the Icelandic language, but she provides a tranlation on her DA. Here is the page:
http://skottan.deviantart.com/#/d5nav37http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XA8GaoOp ... e=youtu.behttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbBKI26skDs&feature=plcpI personally find these videos incredibly impressive. I have experience with 3D graphics and its really difficult to make a clean model, and its even harder to apply colors and markings. Of course, there is room for plenty of improvement and the the animation itself is very basic, but I still feel like its very impressive for someone who has only done it 3 times.
So go give her stuff some lovinz! Honestly, she deserves it.
NOTE:
Please do not approach her with Balto 4 nonsense. Seriously, do not bombard her with stuff like "OMG can you join my Balto 4 project plzzzzzzzz" or "You should make a 3d balto movie! DO IT NOW!".
Update: I have just been informed about the rig. A rig is the skeleton of the animation, and is responsible for making limps and other muscles move when it comes to 3D animation. Skotta found a good source for these rigs and has offered to share it with everyone. So if you are interested in these kind of things, that could be something to look into!
