Well, since Christmas is only a couple of weeks away and I'm a fan of the ADGTH series (mainly the movies, not the TV series per se), why not mention the probably lesser-known Christmas special made by the series?

Basically, it takes place in the world of the TV series and is a basic retelling of the classic Dickens' story "A Christmas Carol."

It's not too bad, but it's the same sort of thing many other series tend to do. I did like the new characters (Belladonna, mainly . . . yes~), but the songs were horrible (WQ had better ones, dare I compare them . . .) as was the animation. Still, it's good for the holiday season.

So, anyone else have memories/reviews/comments/pictures/whatever of this special that you'd like to share?

I did watch it last year after making my way through the series. It has decent animation if you compare it to the Series, which I found was hit and miss on some episodes as far as animation quality went. I do feel that by the time we got to the Christmas special that it is so far removed from the original movie that it is All Dogs go to Heaven in name only and while it alone was fine, it is terrible compared to the original film.

Ive been planning to try watch this again, i seen it once when i was like 10 on cartoon network. and i think i enjoyed it.. i think cause my memory's terrible, but i do remember is there like a little pup who's meant to be i dunno little Tim is it? i will watch this and probably return with a review =P I just wanna post to see if i can remember anything.. i remember lots of dogs in a ally and Charlie was meant to be like the santa? or the saint of some sort =P i never watched the series, im a huge fan of the first movie so its a surprise i ain't tried to see the series but *shrugs* thats for another topic to explain.

The All dogs Christmas carol was ok I have it on VHS. I do agree that WQ does have better music in it than that particular remakes of a Christmas carol with charlie and friends.

The only reason this one had points against it with me is that I'm tired of animated movies/series rehashing A Christmas Carol with their characters. It's unoriginal, but cute.

Yay, I found my DVD copy! I might have some screenshots and avvies/sigs throughout the week now!

Oh, I noticed that the leaflet inside the ADCC DVD had a quickie bio for each of the main characters (Charlie, Sasha, Itchy, Carface, and Annabelle . . . wait, wat.) . . . I might scan this for you guys.

Also, there's only FOUR songs in the film (two of them have reprises though, but I consider them the same song), and thanks to the DVD feature, I can get LYRICS . . . and maybe some quotes too.

Just to make this section active, not just because of the seasonal obviousness.

Well. An All Dogs Christmas Carol was a ok movie.. I suppose it was necessary for an episode season finally since all the problems [Sasha and Charlie love conflict etc..] needed a good solution and holidays are the best one as usual. However.. oddly I think they left out Bess. [correct me if i'm wrong] The music in the movie were a minor plus point for me. Loved "Clean up your act" and the other songs were good too though the can drag a bit. Otherwise Its a good change from the entire Series as it is especially since they ran out of ideas. [prince and the pauper recycled plot] for example.

I'm going to try to watch this on Youtube sometimes, but first I'll watch the movies.

One correction though, Belladonna wasn't a new character to this movie, she debut in Season 2 of the series.

i've only scene the christmas one when it was on cartoon network last christmas. i should of got the dvd when it was at wal-mart 2 years ago. but i didn't. now i have to wait and see if i comes back out on dvd this year or next year.
