People have had loads of theories on what happen to Kopa that made The Lion King 2 be about Kiara but what is the true one!!!! Please can someone say their theories and which are in fact true?? If you could I would be so grateful.

There's NO true theory. But I truly believe that the possible production reason is because Disney loved the story plot for Simba's pride but didn't think Kopa would fit in it. It wouldn't make sense for Kopa to fall in love with Kovu, and they can't make the outsider a girl because all the Scar followers and Scar himself, wants a boy as his heir. Or simply, the ones who made the sequal forgot or never knew about Kopa since it wasn't the same team who made the original movie. But that can't be because during pre-production, they send some of the people to Disney's Archive vault library for ideas.

Well i've got a theory, of why, they thought that he'd be to much of a hasle, like wut canineXpert said, but they could've kept him and made him the mate of Vitani, so they thought that it was a bad idea so they cut him from the movie

The Disney people thought that if they used Kopa it would be too much like the first movie.
Before Kiara, there was also two twins - a boy and girl I think, but obviously that idea was nixed too.

Kopa came from a series of books released shortly after the release of the first movie named "The Lion King: 6 New Adventures", which included the story of Scar and Mufasa's childhood.
