Wow man. Maybe you could find some bloopers on it like discoloration or something like that. (If there's any)...

I'm guessing the reason why its wider and taller is because the VHS and the DVD cropped it in order to fit the screen... they say that before he movie starts.

Still, that's a pretty good find there Arctic. I've used to see a quite a few on eBay, but I don't see too much nowadays. Pus, I don't have a laserdisk player. They're old school man.

There are color differences, though they are hardly what I would call "discoloration." Rather, the colors are just warmer. I actually think I prefer the color on the LD to the DVD.

You must be referring to the full-screen presentation. The European widescreen DVD says 16:9 anamorphic, and makes no mention of being modified. Kind of weird. My best guess is that whoever was assigned to perform the DVD transfer decided it was more important to fill the viewing area than keep the entire picture.

The Laserdisc claims to be the taken from the original theatrical film print.

While I'm at it I may as well post some pictures of my own disc. (The color comparisons are still coming. I promise!)

The front cover.

While I'm merely adding to the pile with the last image, I've never see this one on the internet (I checked), so here it is. One thing I want to point out is the title of track 25. I've seen a lot of people refer to that scene as the "Heritage of the Wolf" scene. For the LD however, it is titled "Time of the Wolf." I actually like that title better.

The disc itself with a Leatherman for scale.

I was wondering, will the UK laserdisc will work on a U.S. player?
I kind of figure that it won't due to regional coding but thought I should ask anyway.

Nope, it won't. Laserdiscs are region locked just like DVDs and Blu-rays. Granted there aren't as many regions, but it still has the same effect.
