Wouldn't it be great if they had the Balto movie on the iTunes store? They already sell movies, both recent and older, so it could be done.

This is definitely something that we should ask Universal about. The biggest reason they're reluctant to re-release the DVD is because they're afraid that there won't be enough demand. If you put it in a digital format on an online store, they won't have to worry about producing DVD units, and potentially having a large unsold stock. iTunes just sells digital files, so there's no hardware needed. They would just need to send a copy of the movie to Apple so that they can put it up on the iTunes servers. I know that you can buy the DVD online, but you'd have to wait for it to be mailed to you and not every online service has the best delivery *coughAmazon.comcough*. With iTunes, you download the file when you purchase it, so you only have to wait a couple minutes.

Just a thought I had. What do you think? Would you like to have Balto available for download on the iTunes store?

The reason we have yet to see Balto 1, 2 or 3 is because Universal and Apple don't see eye to eye and only just recently have we begun to see movies that were blockbusters and made tons of money for Universal on iTunes and at first only for rent. Universal probably will begin to work through it's vast back catalog of movies and add Balto sooner or later, just be patient

About your second complaint Apple has eliminated DRM protection on everything in the iTunes store

Yeah. They call it iTunes Plus. Not only is it DRM-free, it's also encoded with a much higher audio quality than a standard MP3, so the quality is closer to that of a CD.

Also, I was talking more about having the movie on the store, not the soundtrack. Although, having the soundtrack on there is an interesting thought.

XD, to think that I was trying to look for it on iTunes the other day. Anyways, I think it'd be a great idea. I mean, I honestly can't see any wrong out of it, it's just an easy and great way of getting the movie on your computer with great quality, <3. However, I think I can be patient like Hybrid Misfit stated, =D.

I'd like to see the movie on the iTunes store; I don't really care whether or not the soundtrack makes it because I already have the original soundtrack. (Yay! =D) But I'm not sure if Balto (in movie or soundtrack form) will ever be on iTunes anywhere in the near future. I guess it could happen, eventually. Keep your fingers crossed. 8D

One thing we could do is send in a request

http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

Apple does take requests on what customers want to see in the iTunes store. I figure if a large enough number of people request something they'll at least look into it. At the least it can't hurt to try

That's a great idea Hybrid Misfit, =D! I requested both the movie and the soundtrack (along with the All Dogs Go To Heaven soundtrack, since I can't find it anywhere for under $100, X_x).

sometimes the most obvious answer isn't always that obvious. I won't worry to much about it though
