Hello! Today I'm making a signature in GIMP. I'm turning this and this into this

Step 1 - Get your images
You should get two that have a similar background; it should be easier to blend.

Step 2 - Create your file
If you're making a signature, it is best that your file has the dimensions of 500 x 200

Step 3 - Paste your images in

To do this go to Edit --> Paste as --> New image. Oh no! They don't fit! We'll fix this in...

Step 4 - Resize your images

Go to the button that looks like this and in the height field, type in the height of the file.

Step 5 - We're getting there...

Click the button that has the box around it in the image, and select the area where the two images are touching. Make sure you've ticked Antialiasing and Feather Edges. The radius should be about 30.0.

Step 6 - BLEND!

Keep pressing Clear (as shown in image) until you achieve the desired effect.

Step 7 - Finishing touches
Smudge any rough areas, add textures and brushes, do whatever to make your blend pretty!

Et voila! You have a signature ready blend! This is what I ended up with

Ok i have a couple of questions. man i feel so......... dumb? K for drawing and rendering i use MS paint. But I also have GIMP2 and adobe illustrater. Gimp i can doodle the basics but i dunno how to save to were i can upload em on to here. and the adobe illustater lets just say, me im a freashman in highschool and i hate math but if i had to choose between trying to figure out adobe illustater CS3 on my own or doing algebra for the entire day id choose algebra.
Also can you mix immages and like fade em on gimp or paint?

Sorry, but I really didn't understand that xD
It's very simple to save on GIMP, just go to File --> Save/Save As. Blending/Fading is possible on Paint but it doesn't look that great.
