I'd love to contribute with Khan but he was brought to Cavalary as a foal some time after Spirit (and Chance) escaped.

My black mare, Liquorice, was brought to the cavalry to replace one of the horses that Spirit released in the movie. If you think she'll fit into the timeline, you're very welcome to use her ^^

How he/she met Chance: Liquorice was in the stables with the other broodmares at the fort when Chance was dragged in. The mustang's obvious strength, vitality and gleaming golden coat immediately caught her eye: she's never seen anything like him (she wasn't in the cavalry when Spirit was caught). She'd heard some of the other horses who were there at the time talk about a golden mustang stallion that had caused havoc amongst the men and refused to be broken, eventually breaking free and releasing a load of the cavalry mounts with him. Wondering if this was the same stallion back again, Liquorice set out to ask Chance about it at the first chance she got. When Chance confessed that it wasn't him, but it sounded like something his friend, Spirit, would have done, Liquorice was at first disappointed, but eventually came to realise that this mustang could be just as exciting and fun to be around too.
Personality (Go into detail if possible): Liquorice is a wonderful riding horse. She’s obedient, loyal and wonderfully responsive to her rider. She adores ground work, and the lightest touch is needed to guide her. Whenever she's being ridden in practice drills or in the corral, her dainty, almost dressage-like movements often turn many heads, horse and human alike. However, she is by no means a novice ride. Fiery and impulsive, she’s liable to do her own thing without the confident control of an experienced rider. In the stables or the paddocks, Liquorice is a friendly mare to both horses and people. She enjoys gossiping with the other mares, flirting with the stallions and chatting with the geldings.

Hi, again. I also have little Oatis. He lived in the cavalry about the same time as Gower. ^^
So, I just thought that I should add him. ^^

Breed: Appaloosa
Gender: Male
How he/she met Chance: Oatis's stall was inbetween Chance and Gower's stalls. Oatis was quite noisey and nosey, so he stood on his tipped-hooves (because he is pretty short) and poked his head over Chance's stall.
Personality (Go into detail if possible): Oatis is a funny little horse, he is a good friend, and he adores Maisy (a cavalry mount). He can be a little annoying at times (he is quite alot like Merrylegs from "Black Beauty").
