Well If I'm guessing what your asking then YES he actually had more in mind possibly from this scene and in the entire movie. There are plenty of cut scenes back and forth and the original Cell pannels of those Additional Scenes are destroyed so possibly lost forever. Like Don had in fact clips of CHarlie actually getting HIT by the car and being flung into the air but edited to make it more kid friendly.

What was there that was psychologically damaging to children in the Land before Time
I mean I have heard instead of the ending we have now they died and that The Great Valley was Heaven I don't know about you guys but even now when I watch The Land before Time I cannot help thinking about that

To add to Mohammad's info, they had additional clips of the Nightmare scene. Charlie was originally going to be tortured by the Devil in this scene (I hear the clips are of the Devil 'reaching out to grab him') and the scene was probably considered too violent for kids.

Bit ironic censorship was needed when it was a film about dog gamblers, gangsters and murderers. XD

Ironically ADGTH still lost the battle in the Theathers to The Little Mermaid because of all this footage and problems. Its wasn't exactly meant for kids to be honest I'd say PG sure but to catch the real Depth feeling and intensity you need a mature mind atleast 13 to understand how deep and effective the movie is. Otherwise.. Well There will be a repeat of losing to Disney again.. *shrugs*
