Shasta scratched around his neck, he was one of few many wolves that were collard and being tracked. He didn't mind being collard, but it itched like crazy. He scratched until the GPS took the collar with it. He picked it up and carried it off. Back in a flash Shasta was now a free and uncollard wolf.
